Rose And Crown — Restaurant in Benidorm

Service was atrocious. Visited today for lunch and the place was empty with no one there except us. We ordered food and were told a ten minute wait. This sounds good however, after thirty minutes there was no sign of the food, my partner went up to ask how long it would take and was told two minutes as it was already cooking. As they were saying this they were pulling our frozen pizzas out of the freezer. After waiting half an hour and still no food we asked for a refund so we could go else where and was told that they don't do refunds and again that the food was already cooking. Around 5 minutes later the server came to our table with free cokes and admitted to not even putting our food in yet due to forgetting. The place was completely empty and only us sat inside ordering food. Had we been told they had forgotten from the start we wouldn't have minded. After the food finally arrived it was disgusting, the pizza was like cardboard and everything tasted rushed, will not be coming back and I advise...

It's an unremarkable place with an okay main strip atmosphere.

There's a lot of karaoke going on here but the sound system is terrible. It seems better setup for a regular DJ approach. There are better places to sing within 50 feet. That said I quite liked the music choice between karaoke, it's a bit more 90s than other places. Ymmv.

They've got a pool table and a boxing punch machine which is always amusing for the stag parties. It'll likely be a stop on a pub crawl, but groups don't stay too long.

The bathrooms are just disgusting. If you're a woman beware they've taken the toilet seats off, the toilet doors don't lock, the place is grim. On top of that the bar staff don't give a damn when men crash into the bathroom while face-timing their mate. He claimed he worked there, but when I told the barmaid, I got the international shrug of not caring less. So we left.

Went to see UB40 tribute band with 4 of our friends, well this was our first time in here and our last... the night started odd OK but the saxophone player from the ub40 band was drunk and belting out his sounds which were out of tune and flat to the karaoke machine music and they were being paid for this (I could have done better myself), couldn't hear the singer who was supposed to be singing (more like mouthing the words) this was like a karaoke singer complete with the words on the TV screens and was playing Madness and no UB40 songs whilst I was in... this was utter crap, not worth me going into and I will NOT be...
