The Bulldog — Restaurant in Benidorm

The food was nice however the staff member behind the bar was unbelievably rude to my boyfriend and his friend. They went up to pay the bill as we were waiting over 20m for someone to come over after the bill was given to us. They asked the blonde woman to split the bill which she replied “we can’t do that”. That is a bit confusing as why wouldn’t you be able to but fine. They stood at the bar looking confused as you would be and tried to figure out what to do, in which the bar member replied “what are you confused about huh? Do you not speak english?” In the most disgusting rude tone I have heard the whole time being here. We are paying customers and to speak to a customer like that is absolutely outrageous, especially after our bill was €50. Do not come here unless you want to be spoken to like absolute crap and take your money...

RACISTS! Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere. I just witnessed a disturbing humiliating experience for four people that were obviously regulars. A blonde waitress said so loud that everyone sitting there could hear her that their dark haired friends that they were waiting for that she would not serve their friends. These were not kids, probably people in their mid 40's. They were stunned and when their friends came along, dark hair and dark skin they all walked away together - good for you guys! If I would be the boss I would ask the waitress to never come back to work. The food was mediocre but given what went on there I would not go back there. We got there just as the place was opening. Nate served us and he was so welcoming. He made us an absolutely delightful Sangria (it was very strong but so moreish). We had small breakfasts (one meat, one veggie) which were yummy. There was a big screen for sports if you are interested in that and it was a total sun trap during mid morning. When we asked Nate to recommend some places to go he had heaps of good info and we ended up doing quite a bit of what he suggested as we were only in Benidorm for the day! We had such a good time that we went back to the bulldog for dinner and another jug of Sangria before our coach took us back to Los Dolces. Highly recommend...
