An authentic Indian restaurant in the heart of Benimar. We ordered the Special Menu which includes papadums and chutney, a starter, a main, rice or naan, a small beer/soft drink, ice cream or coffee. For the starter, we had the Mixed Platter to share. It had Onion Bhaji, Tandoori Chicken, Vegetable Pakora and Chicken Pakora and it was served with three different chutneys. For the mains, we had Lamb Rara, Prawn Madras and Sizzling King Prawns. The gravy of the Lamb Rara and Prawn Madras was aromatic and flavourful. The fluffy Mushroom Rice and soft Naan was great for soaking up every last drop of the gravy. The staff were friendly, courteous and attentive even though it was an almost full house. A wonderful evening out and we’ll definitely be back again to try the other selections on their menu.

Visited Sunday evening. The tastiest chicken tikka vindaloo I've had in ages. The ingredients were fresh & so very tasty. Touches such as small slivers of ginger, a slice of lemon - which is an essential in a vindaloo, plus the beautiful taste of cardamon in the pilau rice. Really was an absolute taste sensation. My brother had the tandoori mixed grill which he said was second to none. Galic naan - also attention to detail on the herbs & spices. Restaurant run by a lovely friendly chap & (possibly) his partner.

Really lovely place, genuinely one of the best lamb dopiazas I've had... Superb choice, but without feeling like it's too much. Loads of flavour in everything, perfectly cooked. Super friendly and attentive staff and a lovely Bailey's with the bill. Worth every penny and I'll be back! Thank you.

Dined as a party of 4 people friday evening 11th November. The place was over half full but only one member of staff taking orders & waiting tables. He seemed pretty stressed & when we asked why our food was taking so long he told us the reason was because of take aways!!!! Really. Lamb balti was pathetic it came in a little metal bucket with little meat & no sauce. There were also bloody annoying flies around our table too this is a particular pet hate of mine. the place should be checked & sprayed before opening to paying guests.When we left there was another member of staff standing outside the front smoking & looking at his phone! You guys need to get your act together as there are hundreds more eating places to choose from on the door step. We wont be back. If you want a great curry go to Curry Mahal in La Marina. Its the...

Yesterday evening we had yet another super meal at the Bayleaf! This is definitely the best Indian restaurant in the area and possibly our favourite restaurant overall! Staff are friendly and helpful at all times, in fact last night I ordered Rogan Josh and asked for extra veg to be included in the cooking; my request was taken with a smile and it was perfect when it arrived! Not only is the special menu great value (€30 for two including a bottle of wine) but it extends across all dishes and is not limited to certain dishes. The quality of food is excellent; the house red is very nice and our complimentary Baileys shots always put the finishing touch to a really good experience! Great food, service and value... highly...
