Having read the reviews below we decided to take our parents there as a special treat as they live here and we live in Mallorca.
The service is diabolical, very very slow!
The food! Compared to the standard of good quality restaurants in Mallorca, El Gusto is very mediocre. Although very well presented its tasteless.
The house rosado wine was like brake fluid quite disgusting actually.
Having had rack of lamb that was un-seasoned, lacked any taste of lamb at all and stuck on a bed of tasteless mashed potato I found it bland beyond belief.
Tried the homemade glass of tasteless cream and chocolate dusting with sprinkled nuts that is passed off as tiramisu and to be honest was disgusting.
Would we return? NEVER! Would we recommend this restaurant? NEVER!
The final bill of over €160 for 4 of us based on what was served up and the poor service getting anything leaves me with only one final comment.

Only one word for this place years on from my original review (below) EXCELLENT !!!
This restaurant was recommended by my daughter and son in law as they were staying at our villa while i worked abroad. When we eventually met up in Benijófar we took them up on the recommendation and booked a table for four adults and one 2yr old. The staff couldn't be more friendly and efficient, there is a play area within the restaurant to keep the kids amused and the food is fantastic. My daughter and son in law c/w grandson had to leave for home in Ireland shortly after our arrival in Spain but i revisited a further twice during my stay. Last minute decision to try this restaurant for the first time and what a great choice. We chose from the menu of the month with limited but exceptional choices. Between us we had goats cheese salad and mussels in leak and garlic for starters. Mains were beef teriyaki and rice and hake on vegetable paella. Both had chocolate brownie for dessert.
