Bertiz Cafe Bakery — Restaurant in Bilbao

It is the first time I leave a review the second I exit the place but this one saw it coming. Staff has an absolutely horrible attitude, we wanted 3 items and after odering (in Spanish, at the counter not at the table) the second item the waitress just left me talking to go cash in. I apologised and called her back to order the third one and she almost rolled her eyes at me and sent another colleague. She barely acknowledged me, looked disgusted and impatient and gave a really bad impression to us. The products were not that great either. Staying there for 5 minutes to eat what we ordered, we noticed that all 3 of the waitresses had this stinking attitude, with everyone else as well. Very poor experience, don't get fooled by the sweet smelling chocolate coming from inside, you'll find nothing but frowns and...

Whatever you do, do not go to this place. I do not understand how this place has somewhat decent reviews for what it actually is. The staff is really unfriendly and they do not care about you. The plates are all dirty and the servant tried to rub it off with his bare hands. When we told him to use another one he got quite mad at us. The cuttlery was so dirty, for a second I thought they where fooling around with us. It was so gross I almost puked. If I will be able I will attach a picture, please keep in mind this is fresh cuttlery they gave us! This is the worst experience I made with a coffee ever. Our first ever visit in Bilbao all the way from Australia and this cafe has the worst service. Su servicio es una mierda. If we could give zero we would. Coffee is ok. Not the best. Staff should learn good old fashioned service. That means smiling and acknowledging customers.

I was standing in front of staff and no one bothered to acknowledge what i wanted to order.

Bilbao service compared to other European cities has been a little below average and this place is by far the worst we have ever experienced.
