As I walked into the chain burger joint, the scent of grease and stale buns hit me like a slap in the face. It was the kind of place that made you feel like you needed a shower just for walking in the door. I was hopeful though, after all, this place had been around for years and had always been a go-to spot for a quick burger fix. But as I took my first bite, all that hope vanished like a puff of smoke.
Let me tell you, this so-called burger was nothing short of a culinary travesty. It was a greasy, flavorless patty that had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. The bun was dry and lifeless, and the toppings were nothing to write home about. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that this burger shouldn't even be called a burger. It was an insult to the name.
The only saving grace was the dessert. A slice of brownie that was surprisingly moist and rich. But let's be real, if this place wants to survive, they should abolish any and all burgers from the menu and just focus on desserts. Because if this is what they're serving up for lunch, they're not going to be attracting any crowd much less anyone for too long.
And speaking of crowds, I couldn't help but notice how empty the place was during the lunch rush. Sure, there were a few sad souls sitting in the corner, but compared to the other burger joints in the near vicinity, this place was a ghost town. It was clear that the locals had caught on to the fact that this place had lost its north.
In the end, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness this supposedly famous burger spot. But until they get their act together and start serving up some real burgers, I won't be coming back...
Read moreI've seen some older bad reviews but I have eaten two dinners here in the last week and I was very pleased. The Iberian rid dinner was delicious with very tender and juicy fall off the bone meat. A side of vegetables accompanied the ribs. Free soft drink refills. A wonderful filling meal where one order satisfied two of us. No room for dessert. If you are tired of standing and eating pintxos this place has a nice menu, friendly service and cold cerveza. Highly recommended and Joseph was a big help with a great...
