Beach Club Potito — Restaurant in Cádiz

Horrendous flavour, overpriced food, with poor service. We ordered the Tuna Nachos, which were the worst nachos we've ever tasted - they consisted of cold flavorless tuna, raw vegetables and bland spiceless sauces. A chef who makes this and charges customers €23 for it has no passion for their work. We asked one of the waiters for cheese to go with the nachos (as we wanted to try make them more edible), which he agreed to but it never arrived. We also ordered the salmon salad, which was very bland and dissatisfying. The waiter also took away the salad without asking if we were finished. The dishes came out at dishes came out 15 minutes apart - if this is normal in the restaurant this was never explained to us. We asked for the bill, but it never came so we had to go to the till ourselves. The waiters were moving around choatically in circles, which would suggest that the organization of the staff is poor. We mentioned to the staff that the cheese never arrived and that the food was very poor. They took the breaksticks (which we never asked for) off the bill (so the total bill was €47 instead of €50), however they didn't seem too bothered that we were unhappy, and weren't interested in trying to understand the issue further. Stopped in Cadiz on our cruise. We stopped here for lunch. The waiter spoke little English and we spoke less Spanish 😂🤣 but we tried our best. There was kids friendly chicken fingers and chips. I ordered a bluefish tuna nacho meal. (The tuna is raw so beware Brits) And a chicken ceasar salad (which never came?!) I shared the nachos with my partner. I ate most of the tuna. Not what I'd usually order but it was nice. My partner couldn't eat it. They tried billing us for the ceasar salad but managed to explain they'd not brought it out so got removed from the bill. €100 was more than we were expecting for a lunch out but lesson learnt. Una experiencia agridulce en un lugar pintoresco

Si buscas un lugar con vistas impresionantes y comida de calidad frente al mar, este restaurante parece una buena opción. Sin embargo, mi experiencia reciente ha sido bastante agridulce, con cosas buenas y otras no tanto.

En cuanto a la comida, nada que decir. Los platos están bien preparados, con ingredientes frescos y de calidad. Cada bocado deja claro que la cocina pone mucho empeño en lo que hace. La presentación de los platos también está genial.

Pero no todo es comida. El lugar en sí necesita una buena reforma. Aunque tiene un encanto de chiringuito, se nota el desgaste en las instalaciones. Las sillas y mesas están algo viejas y el suelo se ve descuidado.

El personal es otro punto débil. En varias ocasiones, la camarera pasó por mi mesa sin preguntar si necesitaba algo más. Esto es inaceptable, sobre todo en un lugar donde se paga bastante y se espera un servicio de calidad. Cada vez que he ido, he tenido que buscar al personal para pedir un café, una copa o la cuenta. Esto realmente arruina la experiencia y da una sensación de abandono.

Otra cosa que me molestó fue la política de distribución de mesas. Las mejores mesas, cerca de la orilla, están reservadas para grupos de cuatro o más personas. Aunque puedo entenderlo en temporada alta o los fines de semana, me parece excesivo aplicarlo un día entre semana cuando el restaurante está vacío. Es especialmente frustrante cuando he pagado casi 100 euros en cada visita. Deberían ser más flexibles y no discriminar a los comensales solos.

En resumen, este restaurante de playa tiene una comida muy buena y un entorno bonito, pero la falta de atención en la conservación del sitio y la desatención del personal dejan mucho que desear. Aunque la cocina merece elogios, la experiencia en general se ve afectada por estos aspectos. Con una buena reforma y una mejora en el servicio, este lugar podría ser una verdadera joya frente al mar.
