We unfortunately had a bad experience here and wanted to warn others. We were visiting Spain and have been to many other cities. All the people have been friendly and helpful. This was not the case for this restaurant. This was one of the very few places open at 5:30pm on a Thursday and we wanted to get a quick bite to eat before going to the train station. We ordered some beer. The waiters there do not know any English. Their way of solving this problem is not by being patient and waiting for us to translate using google translate, but instead to talk louder and be very rude. Especially the tall male waiter was the worst. I couldn’t believe the way he was treating other customers. Like sir, I’m having a hard time understanding spanish, I’m not deaf. We ordered the salad with the chicken, which for 12 euros was extremely overpriced. The chicken was severely undercooked and we just didn’t eat it since we didn’t want to bring it up and risk them being rude and disrespectful like they have been to other customers.
All in all, my word of warning is that if you are traveling here and do not speak Spanish, please avoid this restaurant. They will not treat you kindly or with patience and understanding. Your food will also not be cooked well, as was our unfortunate experience. I would not risk Salmonella poisoning when you could eat somewhere else with...
Read moreWe arrived at the very start of the evening service and right from the start were warmly welcomed. Pleasant atmosphere- though some background music would have helped.
Great menu and good house wine but the food was the highlight. The croquette medley was a perfect starting point- flavoursome and each quite different.
The seafood risotto was way more seafood than risotto but no complaints there and delicious. I couldn’t decide between the Iberian Prey tartar and an oxtail risotto so asked the maitre d’ to choose and the tartare was superb. Certainly richer meat but one of the best I’ve had. Somehow we received a complimentary liqueur (digestive?) each when we asked for the bill and it was the perfect way to finish the meal. Highly...
Read moreWe had lunch at the La Cuarta pub. The pub is a simple place on the piazza in front of the town hall. We choose three different typical Andalusian dishes. The food was good but could have been more outstanding. Especially the Iberian Jambon could have been better. Further, the service could have been more friendly. Since our hotel recommended the restaurant as one of the best, I expected much more. Like any of my reviews, of course, this review is related to the type of restaurant, the restaurant's gastronomic objective, the overall gastronomic quality of the respective city, and the general context and needs to get compared to similar types of...
