Linekers Bar — Restaurant in Calvià

Visited Linekers twice last week . First time was after a day on the beach for a couple of drinks . Great service and lovely atmosphere. Great prices . So my wife and I decided to return that evening for dinner . Arrived , placed our order and food was great as well as the service. The reason for the poor review is because of a customer aged around 70 who was sat on a bar stool outside just by the entrance. The guy was very drunk and abusive to not only the 3 people sat with him but to other customers as well . What really did it for me is that every time one of the members of staff walked past him he would racially abuse him and not discreetly as my wife and I along with other customers could hear him , but I must add that he was discreet enough so that the staff member didn’t hear his remarks ….. He kept knocking drinks over and swearing …. One of his group told me to ignore him as he was drunk and surprising he told me the drunk guy owned the bar .. so that makes it ok then ???? Why the staff didn’t ask the guy to leave or behave himself I will never know . I doubt he did own the bar … If he does own it then he’s doing a great job of killing the business .. Such a shame that one person paints such a bad picture of the bar . So if your offended by racial comments and there’s a drunk old man sat by entrance …avoid...

On the back of my second visit I would have thrown in 5 stars all the way. The service from a delightful girl (sorry didn't get name, blonde hair and gorgeous) was just spot on. The atmosphere was good with a good mix of people from family, to two ladies hitting shots for the birthday and two lads who were a bit lively but it's what you need and let's be honest it's what you expect, I loved it. Last visited Linekars Magaluf in 1998 (blimey o Riley, world Cup was on) I don't think this was the original venue to be fair but still okay. I had visited a few days before on my own, it was earlier in the day, not really much of a welcome to be honest, other people were served at the table but I was ignored so went to the bar and that wasnt the warmest of experiences. There was just one guy floating about and he served me at the bar, but for the Linekars heritage I would have at that point called it a typical okay ish bar. I have never experienced suck a poorly managed operation in my 15 years working within the industry as a hospitality consultant I recommend you give this business the widest birth possible. Rude staff, poor hygiene practices, staff picking food up off other customers plates with dirty unwashed hands. Food was still frozen when arrived at our other tables. 50 minute wait for below average food missing items. You should be ashamed...
