I went yesterday to have a drink by the beach and some chicken wings. The waitresses were very kind at first, but as soon as I asked for the bill, the manager came over in an arrogant way and said: “Bill? Cash or card?” — without even showing it to me.
I replied, “I’m not sure, it depends on how much it is.” He said, “It’s 25.30€.” That already sounded strange, because I had only ordered an Aperol Spritz and some chicken wings. So I politely asked for the menu to check the prices.
He left, came back without the menu, and said: “I’m guessing card then?” I repeated that I wanted to see the menu because the price didn’t make sense. He finally brought it, threw it on the table, and said: “Yes, your chicken wings are 13.00€.”
Okay… if the Aperol Spritz is 10.00€ and the wings are 13.00€, how does that add up to 25.30€? It just didn’t.
I paid cash and left, but then realised they had added an extra 10% charge they called “taxes” — which is completely illegal in Spain, because prices here must always include tax.
I do not recommend this place at all. Double-check your bill if you go, because they are adding illegal charges to...
Read moreArrived to stand in Q for the wait to be seated in a half empty restaurant, seated and water ordered, drinks order taken, came and took food order while waiting for drinks to arrive, drinks arrived then nachos and bread arrived very tasty and plentiful. Dinner arrived, and table still had starter plates waiting to be cleared - no one checked in to see if all was good or if we had finished- starter plates quickly whipped away and cutlery flung back at us to use for the dinner that had clearly been sat out waiting to come to the table for some time. Three surf and turfs arrived, Luke warm and no extra napkins, wipes or cutlery to assist with the eating, pealing of the fish we had just been served. Again no one came back to take another drinks order or ask how the meal was. Did we need anything.. like napkins, wipes or cutlery we got ourselves. Asking for the bill three times didn’t help with the lack of service. The basics seem to be forgotten about. Lots of service staff on just standing around talking to each other. Rather disappointing when it was for birthday celebration and only one drink...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant late one Friday evening a couple of weeks ago. Having read other reviews, we had high expectations.
This is clearly a very popular restaurant as there were only a small number of tables available at 10:45pm. The chairs are very low and seat cushions are needed to comfortably eat at the tables. I asked several waiters for cushions like the other customers had before one finally fetched cushions off the bar stools for us.
Be warned - water for the table is not free. When we were seated, I was asked if we would like water for the table. Being polite, I said yes. We received 2 open bottles of water that I was charged €7 for!!
Service was slow and we were served our food at 11:40pm. My fillet steak was delicious and my daughter's blue turtle burger was her favourite meal throughout our stay. However, the boys did not like the taste of the chicken in their large burgers. The fries came with seasoning. I requested plain fries for my daughter, but they still came with seasoning. This was quickly rectified by staff and we were left the seasoned...
