My partner and I came here for dinner on our first night in Mallorca and we were so impressed and had a lovely time! The food was delicious, portions were generous, and there was plenty of choice on the menu. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions when appropriate and answering any questions we had. The man we thought to be the manager or owner had a wonderful sense of humour and was very chatty and warm. There was a lovely calm atmosphere in the restaurant and there were fans dotted around to cool the place down in the hot weather. We ordered some aperitifs after our meal and we were given very generous measures which was very much appreciated! We returned a few nights later but sadly they were fully booked. Fantastic menu and lovely staff. From encouraging my feeble Spanish, slipping into perfect English for the hard bits and then we heard the waitor speaking German to a family. All very professional and friendly. Some of the restaurants in the centre can be a bit stand-offish but they were very welcoming here. The highlight was the food though. I had grilled steak, ordered medium as I know the Spanish are on the under-cooked side but it was cooked to perfection. Succulent, filling and an absolute pleasure. My wife had the grilled chicken with peppered sauce which was delicious and she struggled to finish it. We ate a late lunch outside so it was hot. One of our favorite restaurants of all time. Simple, comfortable, delicious! This our home away from home and our favorite place to eat in Santa Ponsa, conveniently just a few minutes’ walk from the Iberostar hotel. It’s a local staple. The owner, Thomas, is super friendly and accommodating. The waitstaff and chefs have been there for many years (one chef started there as a kid and has been there for 30 years!). The dishes are simple and very reasonably priced (one of my favorites, chicken with garlic, is 9.50 euros with two sides), yet consistently delicious and not over-seasoned.
