Decent enough hotel, woefully let down by 1 member of staff who completely ruined our holiday on day 2. This is NOT a family hotel and shouldn't be part of Easyjet's portfolio. On day 2, my 3 children were shouted at repeatedly and made to wait outside reception for 20 minutes as their feet were wet because they, like everyone else, had been in the pool and tried to walk through reception. When I asked the member of staff at reception why he had made 3 young children cry, he became abusive and started shouting 'I am not your slave' before swearing at me in front of at least 20 other shocked holiday makers. When I further questioned him, his abuse continued, after which he called the police who detained and questioned me for over an hour. Not once did a member of hotel staff attempt to ascertain what had happened, instead I was left to argue my case and offer evidence to the police who subsequently left as they were happy that I had not done anything wrong or illegal. The next day I received a call from my Easyjet rep telling me that the group director was extremely unhappy and that I should immediately attend a meeting with him. When I arrived, I told my rep that I would like to record the conversation as I was worried that, like the previous night, I would be misrepresented and for my safety would like to video our conversation to share with Easyjet. 5 minutes into the conversation, the director physically assaulted me by grabbing my hand with my phone and deleting the video. He then told me in no uncertain terms that he wanted my family to immediately leave the hotel unless I apologised for the situation and that he took a 'staff first' policy and didn't care at all about the experience or proof of us as customers. I had to sit through 10 minutes of chastisation in order to ensure that my family weren't immediately removed, Easyjets' position being that they would not support or relocate us. The next day we received an email saying that we were being monitored by Easyjet and that if we caused any further problems, we would be removed without assistance. The pool lifeguards refused to let our children use inflatables, even though we specifically asked which were allowed before purchasing 4 inflatables at considerable cost, even laughing at my children when they were quite clearly upset. This hotel should never be booked for family's, it is not child friendly and Easyjet displayed a total disregard for our family throughout our holiday. Pictured is the member of staff.

Just returned from a week stay here. The stuff were very welcoming and hard working. The hotel is cashless, you can pay by card or top up a wrist band to use at the pool bar. Pool only open from 10 - 6, the bar and snack bar open till 7pm. The quality of food and drinks served were good, although on the pricey side. The pool area is nice enough and plenty of beds, however the floor tiles around both pools and bed areas were never swept or mopped during the entire week we were there. There's a lot of spilled drinks stains and general dirt, so footwear was always required or your feet would be dirty. We stayed in a studio with balcony on the first floor, it was well equipped with a small but functional kitchenette. The utensils provided were minimal, but they done the job. The cleanliness of the studio wasn't great, the shower had visible orange water marks on the floor tray edges and tile grout, so definitely in need of a deep clean. Our towels were changed every day and bed changed once (I think) during the week. Disappointingly our balcony floor wasn't swept or mopped at all during our visit, the same stains and cigarette ash from inconsiderate neighbours in above floors were present the entire stay. Some nights were noisier than others and noise does travel when people are on their balconies late at night. I don't grudge anyone having a good time within reason, so recommend ear plugs for a guaranteed sleep. The hotel is located in Costa De La Calma, which is just on the outskirts of Santa Ponsa and up a hill. The area immediately outside the hotel is quiet with a few empty old units giving a slight run down feel to it, but it's only a short 10 min walk to The Square nearby with an abundance of Irish bars and some other bars and restaurants. There are several supermarkets (Spar and Bip) here that are have ridiculously inflated tourist prices - I would avoid them if you can. A pleasant 20 min stroll down the hill takes you to more bars and restaurants and the main centre and the much more affordable local supermarket Euroski. The bus stop outside the hotel at the main road is a great link for getting around and going in to Palma. Buses are regular and it's easy to hop on/off. Overall our stay was pleasant enough, but the standard of expected cleanliness, particularly in the pool areas was a let down and needs improving.

After an absolutely horrific start to visiting Mallorca (see my other review on Pirates Village) we were so grateful that Globales Costa de la Calma had an apartment available for us with 1 hours notice! Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the lady on the front desk, she could see we were stressed with what had gone on prior to arrival and ensured we were very well looked after and checked in smoothly without issue. We even visited a couple of times with questions that we had forgotten at check in and nothing was a bother! We arrived at approximately 17:30 with the pool closing at 18:00, however, a big thanks to the lifeguard who ensured my boy was able to enjoy maximum time in the pool and didn’t pressure us to leave even being close to 18:00! The room was comfortable and well equipped for what we needed, the only things was it was showing signs of wear with some items damaged but we visited at end of season so has probably had a difficult few months, also means I can’t pass comment on busyness as it was very quiet during our stay. The rooms were cleaned daily for us too. The strange glass bathroom door, let’s just say, I hope whoever you’re sharing a room with, you’re comfortable with, if not you will be by the end of your stay! 😂 Other than that, I would definitely recommend a stay here and would stay again when back on the island. Massive thanks to Cris, Charlene, the lifeguard and bar staff who made us feel very welcome. They are a big asset to the Globales team!

I’m on very mixed feelings regarding this hotel

Firstly, the staff are great! The barmen really made our holiday, they’re incredibly generous and so lovely to my niece who is 10. Receptionists are lovely I had a major allergic reaction and they did help me with finding pharmacies and offered help with getting to a doctors. However, we did meet one of the rudest members of staff within our first day, having a 10 year old with us we wanted to get a floaty for her as the pools here are either for young babies or adults. We got a floaty and she went into the pool, I believe it was the member off staff who runs the pool games (which we have only witnessed happening once) and he came over as she tried to get into the pool with the floaty and started shouting at my 10 year old niece. My niece was shocked and was just nodding so I asked him what was the concern and he began shouting at me and pointing at the rules of the pools (which are small at the other-side of the pool from where the main areas are, there’s also a sun bed up against it so half is not noticeable) and told her she needed to get it out now and read the rules before bothering getting in the pool, when this was being told to us, there was a game of pool football which grown men was stood in the 4ft area which is very very small, playing the game, this resulted in my niece having to get out the pool because the main pool is not equipped for children at all as the pool goes from 4ft to 6ft to 9ft with the 9ft area being pretty big. Another problem we have found is the room was very dirty, we stayed in room 014 the room isn’t very spacious for a family however, is on the bottom floor which does allow you to have a gate to exit which is right behind the pool, however, the room had a headboard that was broken, there was liquid stains all over the walls, the bathroom bin was broken, no tv remote(took 4 hour wait to get one) and generally the room wasn’t clean however, the room was a nice benefit to say we could just walk to the pool. Another problem was the porch light, outside is very very dark, if you are sat on the porch the light goes off at 10am, so you are sat in the dark if you want to sit outside. Whilst we was here it was raining, however, the hotel offers no entertainment at all! However, there is a room for this so maybe the wrong time of year? (End of April) The bar shuts at 6pm along with no where to get food here as that also shuts at 6pm. The hotel is also very noisy with other people staying here, often shouting and screaming at 3am - 4am in the morning. There is however a very small area for children, with a few mushrooms to climb on and play jungle area, however, that is not made for little children, and a few items broken, however my 10 year old niece had fun on that area.

Overall, the staff on the bar have really made our holiday, they’re incredible, made my niece very comfortable, it’s just such a shame the hotel doesn’t offer much other than a bed & pool??

It’s a real shame the staff are so incredible here, as the hotel seems a little bit...

Currently staying here and due to leave tomorrow. (1.8.23 - 9.8.23). Very pleased with this hotel. The hotel itself is very good looking. Its not massive & overwhelming. The pool is a good size with a modern pool bar & furniture and nice green surroundings. Cyril behind the bar does a great job along with his colleagues ( a blonde lady with glasses & a fella that calls me "lady" when ordering things etc which makes me laugh). Weve met two life guards over our week. One briefly and another called David who has been with us for the majority of our stay. He's great! Very dedicated to his job. He is very present around the pool all day and is very aware of every swimmer especially the children and assesses their swimming ability for the depth of the pool they are swimming in. He gives friendly advice where needed and very much has safety at the forefront. Pool floaty rules is no beds - but doughnuts are fine along with noodles and other kids floats with handles etc. Food is excellent and I found to be value for money. Definatelty a high standard. Reception staff are good too. A special mention to the male evening reception member of staff who was very welcoming and helped with a minor room issue one evening. We stayed in a studio on first floor (room 108) Overlooking the the pool from the side which was great. The room has everything you need. Air con was great and no issues. Turned it off as it was so good. My honest opinion about the room is you can see they have been partly refurbished to a modern standard (nice clean ikea type tables and chairs etc). The bathroom could do with with some re-grouting to seal the shower better and would definitely lift the standard higher but the room is definitely at the higher end of what I expect of a 3 star Hotel so I'm not moaning, its a suggestion. The entertainment team is run by two girls who are fab. They keep the kids occupied throughout the day until around 7pm. Its activities that the kids can opt into or not rather than being put in a club. The location is slightly out from santa ponsa center. The square that people refer to is not my thing unfortunately but its close. We preferred to to walk 20 mins along the beach front to get to santa ponsa centre with really nice views and places to eat. The location was abit awkward to get to places for kids like kathmandu park and marine land via bus so we got taxi which was around 15 mins in car and around €15 each way. The bus i could only see served near the hotel every few hours which would mean missing certain animal shows at the attraction. If the hotel was to put on a bus once a week even charging a bus ticket fee that would be be a huge plus! Would definitely recommend this hotel. Thankyou for a great stay...
