Bar Blau Portocolom — Restaurant in Felanitx

Very cool beach bar. Unfortunately we had a really bad experience at this place. We made reservation beforehand as we had a baby in a trolley. We got confirmed a table. We had a table in the shadow for 15 minutes but the sun dropped and the baby was sat in the sun boiling. There were other tables available in the shadow and we asked two of the waitors to move but no one reacted. Our food came but we could not have our meal in the sun with the baby being too hot already and had to leave. When we asked for the bill, finally someone offered us one of the tables in the shadow but it was too late, my husband had already left for the car with the baby. We had to pay 80 EUR, full price for a meal that was never eaten or enjoyed. When I explained what happened when paying, the waitor just said: "sorry, but we are on the beach, it gets hot". But thats why you have to place people with babies in the shadow when you have tables in the shadow available. Please dont confirm tables for people with babies if you leave them hanging in the sun. Absolutely fantastic start to the holiday. I had seen photos of this restaurant before we came and we definitely wanted to try it. I loved the position and the small quality that it had. I didn’t know what to expect on the food or what the quality would be like. It blew us away; the staff were so friendly and smiley and happy to talk through the menu. During our short visit for drinks, we witnessed one of the most inappropriate scenes I’ve ever seen in a hospitality setting. A group of three men, wearing only wet swim trunks and clearly not sober, proceeded to engage in loud arm wrestling matches, and disrupt the atmosphere for everyone around them. Meanwhile, other guests were barely attended to. The fact that this was allowed to happen speaks volumes about the management and standards of this place.
