(In response to the owner - we have indeed eaten and drunk there before, which makes it all the more dissapointing to be completely ignored, overlooked and forgotten. you didn't notice that you'd got a table who's food never arrived, you didn't think to check?
The kitchen was clearly packing up when I came to the bar to see where the food was, so I don't see how you were "single digit" delivering on the order? But, If I'd wanted takeaway, I'd have ordered it?
Yes, I insisted that I paid for the drinks, I ordered them! I also tipped your staff.
It also wasn't the first time we'd left your restaurant without eating, the previous time, after waiting with drinks for the kitchen to open, then being told at 7:30pm or so we still couldn't order starters etc as the chef still hadn't arrived, and the waitress didn't know when you'd actually begin to serve, we left and went elsewhere, I didn't bother to leave a review for that at the time as I thought we'd put it down to experience and try again.... And this is what happened.
We have previously commented on the menu before, directly)
We ordered beers and pizzas, the drink service wasn't fast, we sat and drank the beers, waited, the food never came, went inside to ask what was happening and they were cleaning / packing up they kitchen. They'd somehow lost the orders and not noticed the table sat without food.
Failing to deliver pizza is a pretty fatal issue for a pizza place.
The menu is massively over complicated and muddled, there's no sense from the the name of the pizzas as to what's on it and there's no order to the menu, meat pizzas aren't all on one page, veggie pizzas aren't...
Read moreAddition after response from owner: I looked thorugh several of the lowest ranking reviews of your restaturant and can see I'm not alone with this experience of hours of waiting and rude waiters. The waiters stalled us through out our stay - stalling to give us menus, stalling giving us drinks and stalling taking our orders. The food was not at all ready when we had to leave after 1,5 hours. I can't believe you would give such a condesending response to my review. Take your responsibility as a business owner seriously: get two chefs to work on sundays or reduce the number of tables. Be friendly and kind - that makes a business woth visiting. I really wish you the best and hope that you will handle critic in a constructive way in the future.
Initial review: This was the most extreme experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. In a bad way. After waiting 30 min for drinks we contacted the staff after 1,5 hours and asked where our food was. (We ordered pizzas and salad). They got extremely rude and told us the chef was alone and couldn’t prepare more than one order at a time, so we just had to wait. (!!!) No excuses. No information during the wait. Can’t comment on the food because we never got to taste it. Very disappointing in an...
Read moreWent there on my day of arrival in Frigiliana last Saturday, September 21 on my road trip through southern Spain. I felt super hungry and very tired from the long drive, and just wanted some food in the heart of the town. At the restaurant I was suddenly greeted by a small, dark haired waitress with the most amazing smile I have ever seen. Baffled but suddenly highly awake I ordered water and large pizza. I enjoyed a great time there and felt very welcome. Guys, guys…calm down, I know you want a story here, but there will be no Happy End. Unfortunately I didn’t ask for her name and number because I didn’t want to overstep and make her uncomfortable. That’s life I guess.
Oh wait, we need to talk about food! The pizza tasted very well (gambas and bacon) and I loved the cheese. I went there a second time today (different staff sadly, but also very friendly) and chose a different pizza (spinach, mushrooms, pepperoni, tomatoes) which was an unusual pick for me but still tasty. Prices are very...
