The Garden Restaurant / Restaurante El Jardín — Restaurant in Frigiliana

The food was great it was a nice mix of different cuisines It's the second time we've been there ,first time was just after COVID and we didn't book but got a table no problem.

This time was actually my birthday so I booked a table two weeks in advance with a view.

When we arrived people were sitting on the steps outside waiting for the restaurant to open so I was glad that I'd booked.

Unfortunately when we where shown to the table the view was of a planter full of cactus so the view was totally obscured.

When I mentioned it to the waiter,his reply was I don't see what the problem is sir.

That just annoyed me more anyone could clearly see it wasn't a table with a view.

If at the time of booking they knew that this table was the only one left then they should have said and I would have booked another restaurant.

I'm not going to leave a low rating as I have a small business and know how valuable this is but maybe next time mention that the table isn't with a...

We visited this restaurant twice during our weeks stay in Frigiliana because the views are gorgeous and the food is delicious. Great food and drink for very reasonable prices. First visit we walked in and although busy, we managed to get a seat with great views. Second visit we booked in advance to ensure that we got a table, the restaurant is almost always full so this is recommended. Service is great and we waited no more than 20 minutes for our food to be brought out. Absolutely no criticism on the standard of food as the presentation and taste were impeccable. Although busy, the restaurant has a very nice vibe and was never overcrowded making the meal feel very personal to each table. All in all, the ascent to the garden restaurant is scenic but tough and well worth it for the food and views (I was 34 weeks pregnant and managed ok). We turned up the road to see if we could find something a little less touristy (burgers and chips) with nice views. Well did we strike lucky with this!? The views are as good as you could want looking out over the valley, with the village and sea laid out below out. We ordered a selection of plates and a salad between three of us. The food was DELICIOUS! I can highly recommend the courgette fritters (think like bhajis) and the chorizo. The dips and sides with each thing were incredibly flavourful and a prefect amount of food.
