Bar La Esquina de Chinorros — Restaurant in Fuengirola

SHOCKING.......After waiting for quite a while, we were finally asked for our drink order. We then waited for over 30mins for them to take our food order, which after seeing the quality of the food served to other tables, it was obviously apparent that the food was below par. It resembled a dry state school dinner/NHS hospital food. So we declined the food order. We enjoyed our drinks and the atmosphere of the lively square with street performers showing off their skills. We then asked for the bill, which took so long we were tempted to just walk, but being honest people we went inside to the bar where a server was rude and blamed anything he could for the lack of service we had received. We literally just wanted to pay for our drinks! He told us if we have a problem then to call the owner. We just wanted to pay, we didn't want to be told off! We didn't care if you were understaffed, we just didn't want to be arrested when we didn't pay! We waited for a table and finally one became vacant . We waited over 10 minutes for the table to be cleared , we tried to give our order to the staff who told us they were busy . After 20 minutes of being ignored we left as we did so a couple told us there is a pecking order . This is hard to say but the staff were deliberately ignoring us , which was disappointing and embarrassing. We are two ladies in our 60s looking forward to enjoying a meal in the square . So I cannot comment on food or drink we didn’t get any . I should add this happened in June but I didn’t note the name of the restaurant . Unfortunate experience. Firstly received the wrong dish and when told the waiter appeared frustrated by this. At the end of the meal we were charged 16 euros for a bottle of wine we hadn't ordered, as well as the cost of the wrong dish (which was more expensive) - both members of staff watched us reading the bill at this point. When we informed them they looked displeased and didn't apologise, and were also not willing to change the cost of the incorrectly delivered meal.
