disgusting overpriced food. was misled by favorable advices in google. i guess i have to forget about relying on this source information. the pasta was overcooked to start with. it was microwaved and the ingredients for the sauce tasteless. avoid at any cost and stop relying on google and tripasvisor. they are completely biased by cheating owners.
i cannot answer to the below owner’s comment by this google maps app design that does not allow for such action. hence i am commenting forward HERE… firstly and contrary to what the owner (or employee, i don’t know) writes, i did NOT finish the tasteless carbonara. the size of the plate was for a 5 year old kid anyway and cost a whooping 15,90€. this is not new york city nor monaco but only family vacation place of fuengirola… the meal would have cost (processed food like in this place) a maximum of 3€ at a local aldi or lidl… as a matter of pancetta (like in a original carbonara), there were 3 or 4 pieces of tasteless ultra low cost bacon, nothing else. i repeat that pasta was overcooked, which never can happen in italy, for example. this is a « sacrilège ». if you overcooked pasta, it’s simply because you prepared it beforehand, stored it in a deep freeze and microwaved it last minute. now, i want to return the challenge to the customers: go there and try it. spend your good money on aldi/lidl/mercadona quality food for 5 times the price. if you are happy, then i am happy for you… don’t forget that paseo marítimo, no matter fuengirola being a nice quiet vacation spot, is just a TRAP for tourists and this place is the saddest example of it. after years of residency here, i am still looking for a place to eat decently on the paseo marítimo. the only place i know and am a regular is the japonese food SUKYAKI. i would love a place where i could eat a quick pasta mid afternoon like in italy but haven’t found any so far and this venue is a NO go regarding. obviously, the fact that the owner/employee reacts like if nuclearly attacked says its all… he does not want his cheat business selling 3€ food for 16€ go down. we all understand that. i discovered…remains for you to discover...
Read moreThis was my worst restaurant experience ever.
All the food we ordered was terrible but even worse was the attitude of the owner. He is very aggressive and unprofessional. If you want proof of this, just look at how he replies to negative feedback here in reviews.
I have traveled a lot and been to many restaurants all over the world and probably been to 100+ restaurants in Fuengirola and this is by far my worst restaurant experience ever.
UPDATE after owner reply: The response from the owner is full of lies and fake accusations. And the aggresive tone is likely why most people do not share their true experiences about the restaurant here in reviews.
If you are reading this and considering visiting the restaurant, you can, of course, not know what is really true, just as I cannot know what has happened in the other cases here where people have given negative feedback. But you can see how the owner communicates and how aggressive and abusive he is, and then you can decide if you really want to support a restaurant like that.
As for me, I will not comment any more no matter how many more fake and agresive comments he...
Read moreWe are two Canadians who felt like having authentic Italian here in Spain. Oh, my goodness! Did we hit the jackpot. When you are by the ocean in Fuengirola, walk past all the tourist restaurants until you see the mural with the ocean life. Turn around and directly across the street is the best little restaurant called the Pasta factory! Amazing delicious food and wonderful service!! We shared an amazing pasta dish that was cooked in a huge wheel of Parmesan cheese, then we had a melon salad, followed by two desserts and cappuccinos that were to die for. Do yourself a favour and try...
