Well. First of all nice staff but who ever was in the kitchen had a bad night. The starter of mussels and clams was cold and had to be sent back. Same dish came back just warmed up in the microwave. Hardly any clams and a watery tasteless sauce/stock. It was seriously the worst fish dish I’ve ever tasted in 40 years. The main course were very average to say the least. My gamberoni pasta was very disappointing. The rigatoni was undercooked. I like my pasta Al dente but this was very chewy. The sauce was basically the same as the starter and equally as tasteless. There were hardly any cherry tomatoes in it and no flavour at all. Any Italian eating here would be left in tears. My wife’s rigatoni with walnuts and cream was ok but again the pasta was Al Dente x 2. The microwave was clearly working overtime this evening. The waitress Tanya was very nice and understanding. I was disappointed that the chef did not come out and apologise or defend his or her corner. . To be fair, I was given a free glass of wine and after I asked not to pay for the starter they happily agreed without any complaint. But I should not have had to ask, I just think that the cooks in these places need to be more answerable to...
Read moreWe've eaten here many times as our son loves their pasta pesto which seems to be freshly home made every time, and they are open early rather than having to wait for 7pm and deal with a hungry and overtired child. The food is great overall and always fresh (aubergine parmigiana however was a bit disappointing as seems to have more cheese than aubergine - puzzling as would have thought cheese is more expensive) but what sets the place apart is the service. Waiters are super attentive and there to change any fork that falls down and happy to help with a doggy bag in case a small child can't finish their delicious food (perhaps management could offer half portions to avoid food waste?). The waiters really are superb. Also love their cab sauv wine by the glass. It is something as rare as a perfectly good wine that you don't need to buy a whole bottle to enjoy! Atmosphere is great too. I would recommend sitting outside (they have heat lamps) or in the front of the restaurant as the back feels a bit secluded. There is usually enough...

Ravioli Cacio y Pepe, queso y pimienta is a 11/10 this is a next level dish, unbelievable. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the creamy sauce was to the perfect consistency and flavour perfect, first time I've eaten here and it was genuinely perfect.
I've have been eating all day and I was upset I couldn't physically eat dessert. So I will have to go back and update this review.
