A long one. The worst experience I've had here. By far.
I've given a 2 for food..well the little food we did get. Which was starters after about 40 minutes.
They are extremely quick to get you in and sat down, with information about the owners being from Italy, fresh pasta and all that jazz, what they don't seem to mention is the chef may still be in Italy and you won't be getting food any time soon.
We were initially at a table for four which had been moved to make two tables of two. After about 20 minutes nursing our drinks, we were asked to swap with another bigger group who had arrived, no issue, we moved to accomodate.
My girlfriend joked that it "better not set us to the back of the queue for food, it's been 20 minutes already" and we laughed.. oh how we laughed.
I seen another couple sit down opposite the entrance to the place and place their order. "Surely they won't have their food before us?" I thought, but it was now the marker. If these people were to get their mains before us, I think I'm just going to ask for the bill.
So we're sitting there waiting. I'm now clearly visibly annoyed this is taking so long. It's now 21:34 and we sat down just after 21:00. Eventually someone brings food our way, it looks like mains.. two pasta dishes.. wait a minute where is the starters? "Oh yes that's right you ordered the meatball pasta" and immediately goes ok to retrieve the starters..
Remember the larger group we were asked to move for? That was their mains they accidentally tried to give to us.. what is actually going on here?? I thought to myself. But the fact our starters did arrive I was just happy to eat it and also since they were on to serving folk around usz our mains must almost be waiting on us finishing by now.
We were finished the starters within minutes as we're now really hungry and put the plates together to be taken away. They were taken away about 21:50. When it got to 22:05 and I watched everyone around us, who arrived after us, be served I said to my girlfriend "if it gets to 22:10 and we've not been served I'm getting the bill and we're leaving", she readily agreed. Most food places close around 11pm so this was really inconvenient.
I called over the waitress, the one who was happy to get us seated quickly, and asked for the bill. She knew I was done. Another waiter guy came over and asked "oh sir you don't want.." and I cut him off "no, just the bill please".
Off he went to get the bill, at this point it should have been an apology, "please come back again and we'll make it right, there's no charge for the soup, garlic bread or drinks" (total 14 euros value)
But it wasn't...
The guy was disappointed and clearly some sort of error had taken place or something, I get it, but I was beyond caring about them at this point. He attempted to apologise and I simply said "2 starters, 1 hour? No, no" and asked to pay by card, paid the 14 euros and left hungry and disappointed to say the least. First time I've left without leaving a tip.
Avoid this place like the plague. The soup was mediocre at best and I've had far better in Los boliches. As for the rest of the dishes? I've no idea as they...
Read moreI wanted to write this review to give you some tips and advise how to improve the customer experience. I understand that sometimes things just go wrong but this time there was so many mistakes that I had to give you this feedback with good intentions. We were a group of 5 people, looking for set menu options. As soon as we arrived one of the waiters recommended their set menu and promised a free sangria for everyone. When we sat down at the table we were served by another waiter, who immediately told us not to take the menu as he thinks the portions are very small. Two of us had the menu and others ordered different options from the a la carte list. The food was actually tasty, however the waiters prompt and obvious intentions to "sell more" wasn't greeted with all that excitement that he was probably waiting for. We never received the sangria that we were promised and we got to order drinks as everyone else. The drinks arrivaved fairly quickly, although we had to wait for the starters for a while. Set menu starters where nice, just about good size for a starter. The second course for the set menu was a bit small compared to ac dishes, but it was actually quite alright for two of us. One of our group members ordered the sirloin stake medium, and received well done. The set menu is supposed to include also a dessert, which never arrived. When we asked for it they brought us the bill. At that moment the street started to be quite busy and the waiters where running back and forth while the atmosphere was really hectic. When we where paying the bill, I noticed something curious. The VAT10% was added afterwards to the bill. So actually the prices that they have in the menus and in every display, are missing 10% which is never a good surprise when you get the bill. They offered us shots of limoncello at the end and managed to pour two of the shots on our friends back. At this moment the waiter acted quickly and friendly helping them to clean the mess. We were offered the whole bottle of limoncello as an apology. Over all the experience was too hrried and hectic. On this specific street there's a lot of competition so the waiter really need to fight for customers. This partially explains the atmosphere but over it should not affect this much the quality of...
Read moreFrom the bottom of my heart, I urge you not to visit this restaurant. Our experience was among the worst I've ever had. Upon arrival, we waited for 30 minutes before we could even order drinks. When they finally took our order, they forgot our drinks, so we had to remind them. In the meantime, three other groups arrived, ordered, and received their food before we even got a chance to place our full order.
We decided to order both appetizers and main courses at once. After an hour, our main courses arrived, but we still hadn't received our appetizers. When I pointed this out, the server took our main dishes without a word. It took another 30 minutes for the appetizers to arrive, without any apology or acknowledgment.
The entire experience was chaotic and unstructured. It seemed like all the staff were doing everything, with no clear roles. While I understand that food preparation can take time, especially in a busy restaurant, the lack of service was unacceptable. By the time our appetizers arrived, we had already finished our drinks, and no one came by to ask if we'd like to order more or if the food was to our liking.
When we finally received our main courses after the appetizers, the food was just okay—not good enough to compensate for the horrible service. I had to go inside myself to fetch a bottle of water because no staff member came near our table, except to drop off food. We had to ask for the check three times before we got it.
I expressed my dissatisfaction both when the food was served and when we received the bill. Shockingly, the server suggested that I write a review on Google instead of addressing the issues on the spot. It's unbelievable that they would rather have me share this terrible experience online than resolve the problem in person.
As someone who works in the service industry, I understand that things can go wrong, and I rarely write bad reviews. However, in this case, I felt compelled to share my experience. I've seen other reviews mentioning similar issues, and I can confidently say that I will never return. Avoid this place...
