Disappointing Experience – Left Before Even Getting Our Meal!
We were walking the strip earlier in the day when a woman in green—possibly a supervisor, with tattoos and piercings—approached us to chat about the menu. She was friendly, and the place looked good, so we decided to return later that evening.
When we came back, we were seated by the same woman (though she didn’t seem to remember us, which wasn’t a big deal). We got a nice table and were ready for what we hoped would be a relaxing meal. Unfortunately, we never even made it to the food.
The experience with our waitress was, in a word, awful. She greeted us and asked if we’d like drinks. We said no, as we had water, and we were ready to order food. When I asked if we could order, she gave us a facial expression that can only be described as a shrug with her face—as if she couldn’t care less. It was enough to make both of us stop and wonder if we were bothering her by simply asking to order.
Confused, I clarified and asked, “Is that okay?” to which she again responded with a non-committal shrug, not in a polite or professional way.
She did eventually take our order, but shortly after, she reached rudely across me to clear a plate that wasn’t ours—cutting me off mid-sentence when I tried to ask her to take it. What made it worse was that shortly afterward, we could see her visibly complaining about us to another staff member in the bar area. (She had no reason to be complaining- we weren’t rude or cheeky in the slightest) …her colleague’s glance in our direction confirmed we were the subject of the conversation.
At that point, we’d had enough. We got up and left before our food even arrived. As we were leaving, the woman in green from earlier stopped us, clearly concerned, asking what was wrong. All I could say was “the waitress,” as I was too frustrated to explain in detail.
We’re on vacation, spending good money and hoping for a stress-free, enjoyable meal. Sadly, this experience left us feeling disrespected and unwelcome.
I expected better service from an Irish bar, especially since Irish hospitality is famous worldwide. Clearly, that’s not a given here—perhaps because there weren’t any actual Irish staff around...
Read moreThe cocktails are made to perfection. The maître D is on top of everything and customer orientiertest as it should be. Thank you for that. Now comes the but. Tonight is noche de San Juan and there is the yearly firework celebration on. We have been in the bar for 3 hours consuming and having a good time with football, waiting for the fireworks display to start at midnight. Once it started, a member of staff, the singer/karaoke star, stands in front of our table to see the fireworks display. We tried to get her attention to step aside, so that we could see, she failed to react. So I touched her hip and asked her to move. She reacted very aggressive, telling me I had no right to touch her and I should respect her. Yes I felt that the disrespect was from her that she had no appreciation of her surroundings and her customers I felt very much disrespected as a customer as well. She threatened me that if I would touch her again"she would touch me". I have no words for this behaviour as a customer. She went on telling everyone how rude I was and I cannot help thinking that she gets paid and I am paying as a customer. I will think twice before going into this premise again. We live on the costa and are out most nights. I have never been treated like this in an establishment before. I feel it's a disgrace, ithat a bar allows bought in entertainment to treat their customers like that. Management please take note of...
Read moreThe bar is really good and has cozy ambiance. I came here many times before and bringing friends everytime. I just want to address that DJ (that night) behavior towards me. I feel like he was being a racist. I was trying to observe his behavior towards me and others. As an Asian and loves karaoke, he tries to ignore songs I requested & skipped. I have to come in his booth politely everytime to remind him my turn, his excuse was let the other guy, other girl sings first before me blah blah! But when someone just came in for the first time not in queue, he just let her sing easily and quickly. When I asked again, he said “boss said karaoke ended only disco now” oh okay! Confused but okay leave it! Then after 5mins of rejection, i noticed he let other sing until they closed. For real?! So insulting and sad in my part! I dont sing s#it, I am actually sing good. I dunno what was his issue with me? The manager/owner is good and reported this! other staff are nice too but that dj, you dont even deserve a 1 star! Do you really have to be picky who you wanted to sing in stage? Why it’s called karaoke bar then? Shame on your behavior! I hope...
