A wonderful little cafe nested in the narrow streets of Girona, with fantastic quality food and some great coffee. Absolutely worth a visit! The staff are very welcoming and friendly, more than happy to have take the time to talk to visitors, and formed a good team from the looks of it. They speak the local, as well as English. The coffee seems to rotate between some different specialities and is available for takeaway or a coy sit-down; when I visited they had a nice strong brew from Peru. The coffee comes in the obvious choices and were about 2€, with some speciality hot drinks such as chai coffee or tea, cold brews, mochas, matcha, and leaf teas going up to 3€. There are lots of food options, making it hard to choose what to eat as they all seem to be fantastic. I dined on a very tasty salmon and cream cheese bagel with avocado, and my +1 had a breakfast bagel. Both were generously topped with some quality ingredients and left us feeling satisfied for hours. These options were about ~8€ each, and they had a rather indulgent-looking pulled pork option for 10.50€. Other items on the menu included some signature toast-based dishes with a lot of options with regards to topping combinations (hence the hard choices!), and they also put together some sweet or savoury plates; all of which were in the 7€ to 12€ range. Speciality items such as gluten-free bread was also available at a surcharge. They have some home-pressed juices and smoothies that ranged up to the 5€ area, and also sodas, water, and some alcoholic options too. The owner is former professional cyclist and upon retiring opened a coffee shop. They started out with a few local cyclists visiting and the odd family visit, and has since exploded to the point now, years later where they have a few venues through Girona and a cycling shop.

I spend a lot of my mornings exploring new speciality coffee spots, and that often involves seeking out the perfect coffee and a delicious brunch. My latest discovery, La Fabrica, in Girona, has quickly become a firm favorite. My Honest Take on La Fabrica Nestled away on a quieter side street in Girona is the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. It's got this charming, rustic-chic decor with lots of natural light, plants, and a comfortable buzz of conversation. It's perfect for a solo escape with a book, a catch-up with friends, or even a casual business meeting. Let's talk coffee first, because for me, that's paramount. Their baristas clearly know their stuff. I had a flat white that was perfectly crafted – smooth, rich, and with just the right amount of foam. They use high-quality beans, and you can taste the difference. It's easily one of the best coffees I've had in a while. Now, the brunch. Oh, the brunch! Their menu is a delightful mix of classic brunch staples and some truly creative dishes. I opted for their "Breakfast Bagel". It was an inspired twist, combining local flavors with a brunch classic, and it was absolutely delicious. What really stood out, beyond the delicious food and coffee, was the atmosphere and the service. The staff are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and efficient. Despite being busy, they made sure everyone felt looked after. If you're in Girona and looking for a truly outstanding coffee brunch experience, La Fabrica is an absolute gem. Whether you're craving a perfectly brewed coffee, a hearty savory dish, or something sweet and refreshing, you'll find it here, served with a smile in a beautiful setting. It’s the perfect place to start your day feeling happy and well-fed. I'm already planning my next visit them again!

Finding a spot that combines the essence of Girona’s rich culture with a cyclist-friendly atmosphere was a highlight of my trip, and “La Fabrica Girona” did just that. This cafe is more than just a place to eat; it’s a haven for cycling enthusiasts and coffee lovers alike. From my very first visit, I was captivated by its rustic charm and the engaging cycling memorabilia that adorns the walls, telling stories of the sport’s local and global history. The menu at La Fabrica is a testament to the thoughtfulness put into every aspect of this establishment. The selection of locally sourced, fresh ingredients shines through in their offerings, which range from exquisite pastries to hearty, nutritious meals that cater perfectly to a cyclist’s diet. Their coffee is simply unparalleled—each cup is brewed to perfection, offering the ideal balance of flavors. But it’s not just the food and ambiance that make La Fabrica a must-visit. The staff’s welcoming and knowledgeable approach makes every visit feel personal. They share insights into the local cycling routes and stories that enrich the experience of dining here. As someone from Montreal who values both cycling and good coffee, La Fabrica Girona has left a lasting impression on me. It embodies the spirit of Girona’s cycling community and is a place I eagerly look forward to returning to on my next visit.

If you’re searching for a place where exceptional food, warm service, and a dreamy atmosphere come together, look no further. This cafe is a true gem that exceeds every expectation.

The moment you walk in, you’re embraced by an intoxicating blend of cozy charm and a welcoming vibe that feels like home. The decor strikes the perfect balance between rustic and chic, with soft lighting and thoughtful touches that invite you to settle in and stay a while. It’s the kind of place that instantly elevates your mood.

The staff? Absolutely unparalleled. From the cheerful greeting at the door to the attentive, friendly service throughout, it’s clear that kindness and hospitality are at the heart of what they do. They make you feel not just like a guest but like an old friend, ensuring every detail of your experience is perfect.

Now, let’s talk about the food—oh, the food! Every dish is a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and made with obvious care. Whether you’re in the mood for a fluffy stack of pancakes, a perfectly poached eggs benedict, or an artisanal avocado toast, their menu delivers in spades. And don’t skip their coffee—it’s rich, aromatic, and pairs beautifully with any dish. And I still want that hot chocolate recipe, cause it was not for mortal consumption, sweet ambrosia.

The atmosphere here is supreme. Whether you’re catching up with friends, enjoying a quiet solo breakfast, or celebrating a special occasion, this cafe sets the ideal tone. There’s an undeniable energy in the air—a mix of contentment and joy—that’s simply contagious.

Do yourself a favor and visit this spot as soon as you can. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience you’ll want to return to...
