Finding a spot that combines the essence of Girona’s rich culture with a cyclist-friendly atmosphere was a highlight of my trip, and “La Fabrica Girona” did just that. This cafe is more than just a place to eat; it’s a haven for cycling enthusiasts and coffee lovers alike. From my very first visit, I was captivated by its rustic charm and the engaging cycling memorabilia that adorns the walls, telling stories of the sport’s local and global history. The menu at La Fabrica is a testament to the thoughtfulness put into every aspect of this establishment. The selection of locally sourced, fresh ingredients shines through in their offerings, which range from exquisite pastries to hearty, nutritious meals that cater perfectly to a cyclist’s diet. Their coffee is simply unparalleled—each cup is brewed to perfection, offering the ideal balance of flavors. But it’s not just the food and ambiance that make La Fabrica a must-visit. The staff’s welcoming and knowledgeable approach makes every visit feel personal. They share insights into the local cycling routes and stories that enrich the experience of dining here. As someone from Montreal who values both cycling and good coffee, La Fabrica Girona has left a lasting impression on me. It embodies the spirit of Girona’s cycling community and is a place I eagerly look forward to returning to on my next visit.

Visited LA FABRICA during a short stay in Girona and came for breakfast. The atmosphere is amazing and feels like cycling history. The combination of the stone walls and the nice lighting creates a very warm atmosphere. The cake display is huge but I did go for a 'fried vegetable, egg and avocado' breakfast. When it arrived at the table I was already amazed by the presentation. It came in a small metal pan on a wooden board and well designed (see photos). The others of our group ordered the same and everybody really liked the food. Coffee - I think that's like wine where everybody has a different taste. The Coffee in LA FABRICA has a nice aroma and a slight fruitiness - probably similar to the coffee you get in most places in London. Big bonus - it is cycling friendly. Bike racks outside and bike locks to borrow. Just perfect. I will definitely come back next time I'm in town. Only thing I would mention is that it can be quite loud in there if it is full.

Mixed feeling of not getting brunch there, as the cafe is very popular and by the time we went in, there was no table available, and also, I already had breakfast at home, therefore, I came in for coffee and piece of sweet. Coffee is delicious, I had piccolo with coconut milk, ordered a hummingbird cake and poppyseed cake. We get to sit down outside on the stairs with some cushions, which isn’t too bad at all. I like the texture and flavours of the cake, they were moist with different colours, I personally would love it more if they are less sweet, but I know the majority would love how it is now. Hopefully I will have another chance to come back for their breakfast as their presentation is sooooo appealing. Regardless, I highly recommended their coffee!

📍Location: Great location! It’s located in the old city town 😋 Taste: Delicious 🤤! Try avocado toast and breakfast bagel with avocado 💸 Price: A bit expensive compared to similar places in Barcelona city center. We paid 30 Eur, two meals and two drinks. ✨ Service: the place was crowded, We didn’t like the system very much but it was fast. 🏬 Interior: Lovely interior, very good bicycle design. HEY! Most incredible brunch and coffee we’ve had in Catalonia thus far (and we’ve been here-including Barcelona) for 5 days! I ordered the yogurt parfait, that came with unsweetened Greek yogurt, raspberry compote, mango puree, coconut granola with goji berries, an assortment of berries and tropical fruits, and gold dust! It was REMARKABLE. My latte was also the best I’ve had thus far, the espresso was creamy and flavorful and it was beautifully presented. The interior and exterior are both beautiful. If you sit outside, you get to sit on the street and enjoy the beautiful views of the ancient city. If you sit inside, you’re surrounded by plants and baskets of fresh fruit. There’s also free water (a rarity in this region)! Highly recommend

An excellent place to start your day. The place gets busy fast and beware, come late, miss the seat. But the food is excellent. They say it is small plates, but to me it was huge, took the avocado toast. But the taste was superb. They have fresh sourdough bread every morning, they woast their coffee themselves and it will get your tastebuds playing. They cater for vegans alike. Beetroot hummus mmm. They have gluten free options and some lovely bowls and porridges. I still see it as a place to start the morning. Superb would come here anytime. Be cautious about whether they cater your special requests as it is a busy place. Loved it. Price is around 7-10 euros for toast at the time of writing.
