🍲 Idle Hands is a definition of a fantastic breakfast place with lovely service and delicious food.

We choose Idle Hands based on the vegan options and overall score of 4.9 - absolutely worth it! We were greeted by the staff immediately, you could see how smooth the team operates and supports each other. We were given English menus since we don't speak Spanish. The staff also has fluent English and will support you with any questions and requests you might have. We felt very well taken care of.

Main meal of the day was shakshuka - it was delicious with very unique sourdough bread which was pre-warmed up. Since I'm not a fan of feta cheese and wanted to remove it from the dish, the server suggested if I preferred to swap it with tofu - what a great advice that was. Overall I was very happy with my choice and, by the looks of other dishes on other tables, you probably can't go wrong in this place - everything looks delicious and probably tastes as such (if shakshuka is of any reference). The waiting time was also pretty low, we waited less than 10 min from the moment of placing the order.

My two other companions also tried out carrot cake available on the day and both said it was very good.

In 2025, for 3 people we paid €60 (including tips) for: 3× main meals 3×...

A Hidden Gem for Coffee Lovers!

If you're hunting for a barista coffee spot with a personal touch, look no further—this is the must-go location. With specialty coffee and ever-changing brews that surprise you every time, it’s a step above the rest. We've been to Espresso Mafia and Hidden Barista Coffee, but this spot stood out as the most authentic, not driven by commercialism but fueled by pure passion for coffee and community.

The level of hostmanship? Absolutely flawless. And the cherry on top? Their thoughtful showcase of local artists' work on the walls. It transforms the space into more than just a café—it’s an inspiring hub where art and coffee culture collide. You’ll leave not just caffeinated, but also...

If you’re in a rush, this is not the place for a “quick brunch” cause waiting time is long, we waited more than 40 minutes for our food but was worth it, everything tasted fresh (cause there’s only 1 cook and 1 waiter). We tried the pancakes with miso caramelized apples, was excuisite but kinda dry, would have preferred a little more cream on it, then the egg benedicts with beetroot marinated salmon and hollandese sauce was very well balanced, then troed the club sandwich that was on point. We paid 42,50€ with the quota included (a 10% tip basically) that we haven’t been informed of, would have appreciated if it was comunicated instead of just making us pay, it would have made the overall experience...

Idle Hands is a restaurant/cafe offering a smaller menu of delicious food, plus coffee, beer and wine. I had the slow cooked pork cheek (pictured) and it was absolutely delicious! The plating looks small but I can assure you it was plenty for lunch and also very balanced flavours. There's plenty of seating both indoor for a more formal setting, by the counter (for a casual coffee) or outdoor. The coffee is delicious and there's also a selection of bakery items (croissants, pastries etc) available. The owners are from Belgium and the UK and have renovated the space nicely to have a cosy, but upmarket feel. Highly recommend and so glad to have these guys here in Girona!
