Visited on May 20th 2018. This was disappointing because we flew back to England the following day and couldn't pay a return visit! :-(. Great value with very generous portions whether complimentary olives or basic tapas dishes, (as would be confirmed by June Sung's photos). Only marginally off the beaten track, (close to Hotel Ultonia where we stayed). It is very popular with the locals, (which says a lot in itself!). The staff - owner or otherwise - were all very pleasant and very attentive. I was greeted at the bar by a very cheerful chap who, noting I was English was keen to talk English Premier League teams! He was in and out constantly, and always smiling and looking after his customers. (Looking at other reviews I would guess he was David). Read moreStopped here for a coffee before a day in Girona( free parking out front), met the owner David, and ended up spending an hour chatting! They’re also super dog friendly (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)!
This is a super old school bar with stone walls and ceilings. There’s even an old book sticking out of a small crevice in the wall that you can sign with many other past guests!
Though we did not eat, David proudly told us the menu items with a huge smile on his face. He also added historical knowledge for us and made some recommendations on where to go as he was born and raised in Girona!
