Aparicio's — Restaurant in Granada

The food was delicious, especially if you think that it was gluten free. I was very happy with both dishes but will not return. We ordered only two mains and drinks and the waitress brought two pieces of bread and a cream soup in shot glasses. It felt like a nice touch since we did not want to have a starter. At no point did she mention that she will charge for the bread we did not order. We thought it was complementary as everything else that you do not order. So, all in all 2.40 eur for two small pieces of bread, supposed to be complementary and the waitress was not pleasant at all throughout the service. Bad service which is a shame. They made 2.40 eur from us in a nasty way but they lost customers.

Update (after reply from the place): I am very happy that you replied, because now people understand the tone and style of business and service. My review was written in a polite style. But let me explain about the bread. I have been living in Spain for over 8 years and travelled a lot within the country. I have been given complimentary snacks, like small crackers in Seville, chingen bites in Granada etc. The waiters come, leave it on the table and they say enjoy. You know it is complimentary because it is a small bite you never order (not even on the menu) and you feel really special, it is a nice gesture. What has never happened to me is to be served something small, that I never ordered and then ask me to pay. Please do not add comments that if someone eats the bread you cannot give it for free because first, no one asked you to do that and second, I feel I was taken advantage of as a customer. So next time you want to serve your hard to make bread, tell your customers that it is going to be charged or ask them before you bring it. It is very simple and thousands of restaurants do exactly that, they serve and charge only what people ordered, it cannot be that...

Muy decepcionado, me hubiese encantado no poner ninguna nota porque aveces cuando hay algún fallo pues mira cuando tienes un buen servicio todo compensa y por respecto al personal y al restaurante no pones nada… pero os juro que el comportamiento al final del personal … fue horrible. Hemos pedido unas croquetas ( estaban muy buenas) hemos pedido un sándwich relleno de pollo con una salsa especial, estaba bien y unas alcachofas que estaban muy buenas y un tartar …. Para acompañar hemos pedido 1 nestea, 1 cola, 1 martini rojo y blanco . ( éramos 4) El camarero súper simpático y con una sonrisa al principio. El primer error fue que nos traen 2 vermouth ( cuando pedidos martini) se lo decimos muy educados diciendo q eso no era martini. Después para seguir acompañando todo hemos pedido el chuletón y un solomillo … la chica nos trae el chuletón frío ( pero bueno con una salsa excelente… ) un solomillo muy bueno pero con un error grande de dejar un trozo de papel dentro de las papas, pero frío también y al mismo tiempo nos trae el tartar … Se lo decimos q eso no se hace así y reconoce el error pero no pasa nadaa… Y para acompañar todo pedimos un vaso de vino… nos lo enseña la botella pero no la probamos … solo nos sirve … le decimos q el vino estaba avinagrado … no estaba bueno…. Se lo decimos para hacerles un favor … y a mí parecer creo que no le gustó el comentario pero las cosas se dicen con educación y es lo que hicimos …. No hay que meterse a la defensiva diciendo que la gente viene a vuestro restaurante especialmente para beber vuestro vino cuando la botella cuesta 10 euros, el vino puede ser bueno pero la botella puede salir mala …la próxima ves… la sirven, lo prueba uno y te decimos si está bien o no … Y bueno para terminar pedimos el surtido de postres … y en ese momento el camarero estaba desagradable… y molesto, junto a un café ( pero no hay café ) la máquina enfrente y en la carta ponía café … Lo siento pero es muy triste …. La chica que nos atendió se le veía un poco mal por todo … falta de experiencia y de sonreír más … pero se le veía saturada … Y el chico le falta experiencia, educación y profesionalismo. ( pero solo al final porque al principio era un pro ) No hubiese puesto nada porque no es mi estilo pero fue muy triste vuestro servicio al final . Aveces los errores en cocina pasan pero el servicio lo compensa y no era...

What a jewel of a find! 100% GF kitchen so we could eat risk free. The tastiest fried eggplant strips we’ve ever had. Even those in our party who aren’t eggplant fans loved this starter. They also have house-made croquettes! They make their own dough in house for the rolls which are fluffy and delicious with olive oil and salt. We had the paella - it was one of the best we’ve had in Spain. The staff was the best trained on service and knowledge of the menu that we encountered on our one week stay in Granada.
