My fiancé and I stopped by here on Monday and picked up some goodies for Christmas Eve dinner on Tuesday. We bought two empanadas and some bread. The saleswoman assured us that everything was fresh. Several family members ate the spinach empanada at dinner. On Christmas Day, my fiancé complained that he had stomach pains but we thought he just overate at dinner. However, when we went to his sister’s house for lunch, she showed us what remained of the empanada—the inside was COVERED in green mold. My fiancé, his sister, and her husband all were sick with stomach pains Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day, while those of us who did not eat the empanada were fine. So gross. Don’t recommend this place. The salespeople had bad attitudes as well.
PS: I read in some reviews that guiris are treated differently than Spaniards...just a note that while I am American, my fiancé is from Granada born and raised, and they still sold him garbage.

The server was friendly but I wish she had warned me the biscuits were spicy when I asked for them (if it was indeed intentional). All three of us threw them away. The other two types were okay but...

There's no area to sit in and eat but there is a beautiful spot overlooking the Alhambra around 2 minutes from the front door with benches/wall to sit and eat Seemed very popular with locals as well which is always a good sign. The cashier seemed a little irritated to be dealing with tourists with limited language skills but I don't hold that against them as it seemed...
