My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at La Turquesa. The restaurant is thoughtfully designed making the atmosphere both comfortable and stylish. The menu includes fantastic options including some that are hard to find outside of Turkey. We had the meze platter, imam bayıldı and hünkar beğendi. The meze platter included 9 mezes, all of which were absolutely delicious. They were clearly freshly made and of the highest quality ingredients. The imam bayıldı was excellent and came with a fresh Turkish salad, yummy bulgur, and potato wedges. The hünkar beğendi was my dish, and the best thing I ate in Granada. The lamb was cooked to perfection, well seasoned, crispy on the outsides while moist and tender inside. And the eggplant (aubergine) purée was a delight. Read moreI rarely write reviews while I'm still at the restaurant. I've had quite a variety of Mediterranean food at home and at restaurants. The food we just had was exquisite. We shared three dishes with leftovers. The lamb....the salads. The stuffed eggplant alone is worth the visit. The wheat side dish. One of the most tasty cooking and fresh ingredients we have ever had for Mediterranean food. Service was fine, a young attentive kid, busy as the place filled. The menu is long and varies enough. The prices actually lower than most places (we just returned from the hills and everything there was another 50-75%). Air conditioner can't keep up but they have a huge fan overhead and we got to sit next to some plants... If you like Turkish/Mediterranean food don't...
Read moreWe wanted to get away from the touristy restaurants and cafes in the bigger squares and my wife spotted this attractive corner Turkish restaurant. Fantastic in every way. We shared five or six small dishes that were delicious. It was the best meal we had during our two weeks in Andalusia; and one of our meals was at a Michelin restaurant. The food is authentic, the service is excellent, comfortable seating and an attractive atmosphere. It’s a little hard to find but well worth the search. Who cares if you have to wander a bit, you’re in Granada. Hi ‘em, thanks for a fun romantic dinner. Michael and Shane, from Canada YOU have to eat at this restaurant while...
