I don't know about other meals but their breakfast is at the low end of average. I don't know what they're thinking, to be honest.
Positives? You can probably get a seat even on weekends. They serve tea. Also, the one male server is very nice.
Everything else was average or below. We ordered a Healthy Breakfast and an English Breakfast. I don't know if the management/chef has ever been to England, or even spoken with a British person, but whatever they served is NOT an English Breakfast anywhere. I don't even know how to explain how wrong it was. Just look at my photo, lol. No toast, no beans, no mushroom, some weird hotdog thing instead of actual sausage.
They did not ask how we wanted the eggs. When we asked for a side of toast, she brought a hunk of old bread. I know language barriers can be difficult to navigate but I wouldn't think toast/tostada would be up there. I think they just do not understand English Breakfast is meant to come with toast in most places.
The healthy breakfast, yeah, was healthy. It was bland and a portion size perfectly suited to a small lady on a strict diet. In other words, very small and unsatisfactory. It was a small cup of watery yoghurt with a tiny sprinkling of half a teaspoon of granola. The half-sandwich was okay.
Orange juice was sour. (We are used to Algarve oranges.) The tea only filled the small mug 75%.
The prices are very high for this quality and quantity. Would...
Read moreRisotto: dish of rice cooked in stock with ingredients such as vegetables and meat or seafood.
The buckwheat "risotto" they serve is just plain buckwheat, the shrimp that came with it was so dry I could barely swallow it without my wine, the baked cod is also dry and flavorless. I rate that meal 4/10.
The eggplant with ricotta, has a great flavor on top, but the eggplant was undercooked and soaked in lemon juice, way too acidic. 5/10
The chicken in sherry wine was pretty tasty 7/10
It rained and the terrace was too windy and rains tarted to come under the umbrella, we went inside for the second half of the meal and still charged %10 for the terrace.
My glass of wine was excellent 8/10.
When I made the reservation through the fork I noted that me and my partner were celebrating for 8 years. You would think that a restaurant would take that into consideration and maybe offer something special maybe.
We left feeling like we didn't celebrate anything. And still hungry.
(I forgot to mention we ordered the eggplant without tomato. It arrived with tomato and the waitress was kind enough to take it back and asked him to re-cook it for us. But it took almost 20 minutes for them to redo this dish so they offered us a free brownie which was a...
Read moreMyself and my wife came for a simple dinner, and got a table outside. The restaurant is in a nice position behind the cathedral. We ordered drinks, and did not receive any tapas, despite the waiter bringing tapas to all the other customers we could see at other tables. We ordered two plates of food to share. Both were reasonably good, but quite cold and not particularly memorable. The waiter seemed to be quite busy, and it took him a long time to bring us a second round of drinks, meaning that we had to eat the rest of our food without drinks - something I do find really annoying. We were surprised by the price of the drinks - house wine was €4.30 a glass, and a caña of beer was €3.50, which is a lot higher than we ever usually pay in Granada. In summary, not a terrible experience, but annoying that we didn't receive any tapas. The food was nothing special and we probably...
