Poor experience The night began with me being served the wrong order. Out of all the things that happened that was the least upsetting. Restaurants get your order wrong,so no big deal. I took the meal as to not cause any problems but told a waiter it was not correct.
The person who took my order was not the same as the sole person working the restaurant. I was recommended to eat the deluxe burger. Now here is where it gets interesting. The server who recommended the meal to me and got it wrong turns out to be the manager of the restaurant. I ask to speak with her. She and her other staff members are on break and therefore cannot be called upon to rectify or acknowledge the harmless mistake. Nothing was taken off the bill and the service was poor. Of course how could it not be when you have 1 man working the entire restaurant at prime dinner time?
Among other things such as the TV not working properly and the slow response time what irked me the most is at the end when I explained to the waiter why I was upset the manager comes in and tells him to stop talking to me and get back to work. Poor management and mediocre food are a bad mix in the food industry. I upset as hell stormed out of the restaurant after paying my bill and leaving a small tip(which you really shouldn't because in Europe it is included in your bill already) I realised it was not the waiters fault but sadly he was the first line of contact with the customer so had to hear my explanation of how poor the customer service was.
Far better options in Granada and the locals know it as there were few Sunday evening prime dinner time with a big La Liga game on. That should say it all. Fix the management and your focus to the food and the...
Read moreMy wife and I had been putting lots of miles on our feet, and our "American dinner time" didn't jibe with the local eateries. We were getting really hungry, and afraid we'd have to capitulate and settle for a sandwich...
...and then this happened! Not only did we find a restaurant with a very pleasant ambiance and a wonderful waitstaff, but with a creative and tasty menu as well. ...and open when WE were hungry!
The menu features quite a number of tapas, salads, combination plates and desserts - but we were both called to the "Specialties of the House." My wife's vegetarian lasagna was as loaded with flavor as it was with spinach. The pasta was cooked just right; the cheese was... incredible. And the sauce provided just the right amount of saltiness to round it all out. I'd give it a 95 out of 100.
I opted for the "Revuelto con Esparrago Fresco y Langostinos." This was a MOUND of fresh, gently sautéed asparagus layered with large, peeled shrimp, and bound together with scrambled egg. Now, I can put away some food, but this was just HUGE. The asparagus was very tasty indeed, as was the shrimp - but there is a limit to how much I can eat, and I just couldn't finish it all! It was DELICIOUS and I wouldn't hesitate to order it again, but would prefer to share with someone.
We'd read a review about the carrot cake, and we were sold on that, so... yeah, it was wonderfully presented, and gratefully eaten! All in all, this place merited...
Read morePromotes itself as healthy ecological food. Yoghurt bowl was so small , yoghurt unpleasant very tiny amount of fruit and seeds. Gave the assistant 50 euros to pay. No printed bill given in return as left in the till. Wasn't told how much the bill was just handed the change. Looked at change and was charged over 15 euros for 2 teas at 1.80 2 yogurt bowls which I think were 2.40 approximately and one orange juice. Very sad as normally only get ripped off in Italy. Have lived in Spain for over 18 years and never have I come across the one price for locals one price for tourist. Sadly I wasn't a tourist. I should have returned and asked for the bill but I thought how sad and disappointing if the assistant was so hard up for a few extra euros then good luck she can have them. No I won't return or reccomend it. Plenty more breakfast places...
