Sur Coffee Corner — Restaurant in Granada

Three stars because coffee was good, but only that because of unprofessional staff attitude. My wife has limited English (and obviously no Spanish) and talks fast because she gets nervous when speaking English. The older clerk tells her to “relax and slow down” with a smirk on his face and the younger guy next to him proceeds to lecture her that in Spain, she is supposed to add “please,” with a smirk on his face. We were there with our daughter so I didn’t want to make a scene by telling them how they should just do their job and stop passing judgment on a person they don’t know at all so I let it pass. Maybe the duo amigoes are co-owners because I see their faces in all the review pictures. Dudes, if you are reading this, you just gotta be extra patient with foreign tourists with limited language skills and not so smart behavior. I live in New York and deal with it all the time on the streets so I feel your pain. I do the same not so smart things when I am vacationing in other places (taking picture in middle of busy streets, angling for that “perfect shot” because I can’t afford to come back for the second chance, LOL). Sur Coffee Corner is a small cafe with a big heart.

Sebas & Manu are two entrepreneurs convinced that to offer a quality product and respect the environment is possible, so they are pouring all their coffee in biodegradable cups.

The coffee is seasonal and fair trade. The delicious toasts are made with sourdough bread. You will find natural organic juices made with seasonal fruits from the Granada’s Tropical Coast supporting the local trade

In addition, there are different vegan options such cookies, cakes, sandwiches, and oat milk.

If you enjoy and value a good coffee prepared with care and delicacy this is your place, you should not miss it!!!

Really DELICIOUS cold brew!! I’ve been to Sur Coffee Corner 3 times for their specialty coffee and I get a different thing each time. I really recommend the NITRO cold brew which is a black cold brew but it tastes super creamy because of the use of nitro. So yummy!

I also recommend the regular cold brew which is fruity and the perfect thirst quencher.

I tried the ice americano once but I didn’t love that as much because it was too watery for my preference (but it seems to be a common thing in Granada across many cafes I’ve tried) so if you like a stronger bodied coffee, get the cold brew.
