I'm taking the time to write this review as a special thanks to our waiter Johnny. He didn't speak much English, but he did communicate with us easily and answered our questions about the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious and very fresh. The place has some good options for vegetarians. During dinner we got a phone call breaking down an emergency back home. This place located not far from the cathedral is quite busy and I thought is going to be quite good but I wasn't impressed actually. The service was fine but for instance if you don't ask the menu of the day they'll not give you. The cost of the day menu is 12.50 per person (2 dishes). In the bill you'll also find additional amount of 10% for I.V.A. which is not included in the price of the drinks and dishes as well. So if you ordered something for 50 euros be ready to pay...

Menu del dia for €12.50 + 10% VAT, including starter, main, dessert, coffee, olives and bread. Excellent value if you ask me.

Salmorejo soup was delicious, as was the Alpujarran broth, interesting to try both regional soups.

The paella for two is huge! Enough to take a portion home. ;-)
