The place may look simple and inimmpressive, but it the right place if you prefer well cooked dishes. The locals know it. The menu card is on a screen and most guests can find a favorite they like. We had goat meat, meat balls, wrinkeld potatoes, artichokes, water, beer, red wine and coffee. A complementary gift was a glass of local honey licor. Price was 31€ for two persons. So, if you come to Tenerife and especially to El Medano, there is one place where you absolutely have to stop by to eat. Local delicious food, the friendliest owner of a restaurant in El Medano and surrounded by the local people of El Medano. Nadine the landlady is a heart of a hostess and the food is typical for the island, plentiful, cheap and if you want to experience the real El Medano in a great non fancy local place this is the place to be. Excelent food in this place for locals. It looks like a small old school dinery, but as we all know, these have the best food.

We were lucky to catch the Sunday paella which was perfect and had some of the best cooked squid I ever ate. I don't even like squid that much in general! It ate up all the paella juice, had such a great texture and flavor.

And the prices? Local prices not those that are pumped up for tourists. We just stopped on the way to the airport, but if you leave around it's a great...
