Pizzeria Wairua — Restaurant in Granadilla de Abona

Wow! Pizzeria Wairua! 5 * is very little for this restaurant and the perfect pizzeria. I'd give at least 7 *. Definitely recommend reservation! It is such a luxurious and exquisite restaurant with divine pizza that is in great demand. You can choose from a large variety of pizzas and the middle is really picturesque. They even have beautiful and decorated marine-style toilets. The last day we were here for lunch before leaving Tenerife after our 10-day travel around the island. We just celebrated with my boyfriend our wonderful anniversary and I must say that it was the best choice. Upon arrival we were staying on a romantic table according to the number of guests come. Service kind, perfect, attentive and very sympathetic. We have delicious local sparkling water, great white wine and the best pizza I have ever eaten. My wife and I have ordered pizza "para llevar" from here the last two nights, because it is just such good pizza. I always order a weird custom pizza with flavor advice from the guy manning the to-go desk, and she orders off the menu. Both times the pizza had been fantastic and perfectly cooked and ready super fast. I highly recommend this place for all your to go pizza needs.

Truffle pizzas and pesto the wife said were great. I ordered a custom pizza with bacon, mushrooms, sausage, smoked cheese, egg, spinach, olives, garlic oil and hot spicy oil and I couldn't be happier. Toppings were flavourful and fresh, crust baked to perfection. I wish i had gotten the name of the guy taking our orders, he has been super friendly and helpful in recommendations.

Dare one criticise a well reviewed restaurant? Why do solo travellers always get seated at a table by the toilets in an otherwise empty restaurant even near the end of service?

No exception here, though there were only 6 people seated with an hour to closing. Three stars - not for the food ( the meat lasagne would have been enjoyed by a radical vegetarian frankly ) - but for the service by the younger waiter and the waitress who, unlike the overweight and charmless waiter who practically threw my cutlery on the table, maybe to show who was in charge , were perfectly nice.

This ignorant fellow could certainly benefit from some customer training.

I would try again but next time come with my partner, choose a pizza and make sure to avoid...
