Bar China — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Rude, ignorant owners. Myself and my 2 children went for dinner in the early evening. We’d come straight from the beach, so we were wearing shorts and T-shirts. The weather had turned bad quickly and we were really cold. The restaurant was completely empty, so we walked in and wanted a table inside. The male owner stared at us, didn’t say hello. I said hello to him twice, the only response I got from him was him telling me to go sit outside. Couldn’t believe how rude he was especially as the place was empty. Then the female owner instructed us to sit at the table in the doorway. I told her no, I want to sit inside as we are cold and her entire restaurant was empty. She rudely told me it’s not cold and wouldn’t let me sit in the restaurant. She kept insisting that it’s not cold. My 5 year old son and 12 year old daughter were stood there very cold. She made me so angry with her rudeness and terrible hospitality. I told her to forget it and left. Won’t eat there ever again, why should I when there are far better Chinese restaurants very close by. Only ate there once before and the food was so salty that my livers almost...

Dreadful experience... such a shame as they didn't care at all... We ordered meals for 3 of us to sit in..the waitress (kindly) advised me against the spicy Tofu.. so I ordered No 122, and egg rice, she brought the rice with the Veg (spring) rolls, and there it sat! Hubby and sons meals arrived but not my Tofu meal..we waited and then chased it up.. Waitress was taking meals to premises opposite and two take aways, other than 1 other customer it was just us, sonot busy at all. Eventually i took the (now) cold egg rice to the 'bar' enquired again about my meal, said my family had almost finished. She glared at me, was saying for me to wait! She was only just asking the chef to cook mine, so I said I didn't want it.. She then almost threw the bill at me, which included the egg fried rice, refused to pay for it...apparently eating a few spoonfuls while waiting (thinking my meal was cooking) meant i had to pay. Hubby said food was very salty and greasy..save your money.. Almost ruined a...

good menu including tofu for the vegans... although it is the soft texture sort... Estrella Damm on draft and good location next to the lively tapas bars and market.... closed Tuesdays though. Overall, value for money.

Came here again in September 2023 and tried the fried rice with prawns (I asked for soy sauce to be added). Really...
