Barracuda Las Palmas — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

We went to Barracudas for lunch and it was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. The waiting and bar staff were brilliant. We had the Prawns main (you get a dozen of them in shell) with a side of Canaria potatoes in their special mojo sauces to dip, they are awesome, especially the reddish one. I had the Prawns with Iberico creamy rice, this dish is amazing. For pudding, one of us had the chocolate dessert, she said it was brilliant and I went for the cheesecake guava sauce. I thought the cheesecake was very unique but could have had more if the guava sauce. We further had Bailey's coffees after dessert and then had a couple mojito and barracuda sour gin (was worldly, ended up having X2, Nodres gin). Experience was superb, these guys should be a top 10 on trip advisor, highly recommended. Glad we found this little gem. Cudos to Carlos...

Arthur, the guy that runs the place had a big 18th birthday party in, but still managed to juggle everything and still pay us enough attention, sweating a bit 😅 but still managed a good bit of time explaining the dishes we asked about and his knowledge on the wines, well its worth telling him what you like and he can recommend! Grilled Sea Base dish was great but just lacked a little effort on the sides! Veggies could have been doing with a little more and possibly a drizzle of oil or something! But apart from that it was very tasty. Sirloin dish was cooked perfectly 👌🏼🍷 Cocktails afterwards 🍹 We had been previously for drinks only! Then thought the service was great, drinks were great hence why we went back for food.

If you want to make an impression both visually and with flavor, this is the place to visit. It is a modern, trendy looking location in the Muelle Deportivo on the water. Everything we ordered was absolutely marvelous! In particular, the Lubina, a sea bass from the Mediterranean, was delectable, with fresh herbs, lightly seasoned, and perfectly cooked. It was paired well with a fruity, yet dry, Canarian white wine recommendation from the server. To end the meal, we ordered a few desserts, which were at the same high level as the starters and the main dish. This is a hot-spot not to be missed.
