Mesón Libanes Restaurante — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

We had an excellent lebanese menu, everything was so fresh and delicious, 5 stars. Two days later returned for some more. The fattoush salad was still superb, very yummy! But the shawarma was absolutely horrible, like a bad portion of a failed attempt to do some chinese sweet&sour-chicken or something, with corn-pea-rice. I recommend only the lebanese menu or fattoush & falafel. Maybe not my style or something, but I've never seen a shawarma like this before.

Second review: Lamb shis - there were only couple of small pieces of meat, all though these few bites tasted lovely, the dish was mostly rice. Eggplant starter was not good. The salads and sauces are still a winner.

Third review: We had couscous with lamb, was very nice. Don't remember the other dish, wasn't anything special. Again the fattoush as a starter was delicious! The libanese rose wine wasn't that good.

Fourth review: We had the lebanese menu again. Was as good as the last time! Only thing I do not care in this menu is the spinach pastry, other pastries were delicious. And falafels were even more...

Little bit of a disappointment. First of all, the waiter offered us (5 obvious tourists) a 'special offer' which should include a 3-course-menu of typical Libanese food. He said he will dish up 2 of these which should be "more than you can eat". The food itself was okay, nothing really special or prepared in an individual style, but okay. However, it was way too little even for 5 guy who aren't even big football players or so. After we finished everything, he seemed a little embarrassed an told us that's unhealthy to eat more in the evening anyway! Finally, the price was notable higher than promised before... At least the interior was...

For 8-9 Euro you get a plate of about 300g lamb or chicken Shwarma, with only a little bit of tomato and salad. Everything else (bread, sauce, vegetables, rice or potatoes) needs to be ordered aside.
