I see the owner replied and didnt dispute the true facts that his food is microwaved food. That's good that he is honest about making microwave dishes and not fresh food. Upon reading other reviews, a few people have mentioned his microwave dishes! I honestly feel like according to you your food sells put because of lack of other options and the fact that Senegalese people support one another like a tribe!
There are levels to food and cooking, I am used to good flavor and have waten from the most cheapest places to the most expensive places that can cost a whole months wage on one dish.
your food was nothing like any restaurant i have ever eaten from in Senegal, even the street food sellers meals are much more tasty than your dish. Your food was unflavoured, the fish was cold, rice tasted like it was made the day before and over microwaved, no seasoning, no spice. The presentation of the dish was not nice to the eye.
We arrived the shop at 12pm. Asked if food was ready where we were unpleasantly told "the shop is open at 12" I replied "it's 12.03PM" this is when the owner jumped to action saying he didn't know it was 12PM.. And asked us to come back in 30 minutes, because we wanted to support his business and obviously wanted a nice meal we returned back... This should have been my sign to walk away, what shop owner doesn't know the time of when he's opened?
To his credit the food was ready when we arrived, presentation with sauce, cutlery, napkins was refreshing. The boabab and hibiscus juice was OK but didn't taste anything like authentic wongo or boabab!
I am still really shocked by this place and the level of unauthentic food. I have lived in & visited Senegal for many years, thats where my ancestors are from!
I was so happy to try this place. One bite and the food was not fresh, it was microwaved but the fish was cold? I asked for jollof rice and got fried white rice. I asked the owner if he was really going to charge me full priced after one bite of the cold food and he asked "why not? You ordered it' and showed a man that was sat in the corner consuming his meal..He shook his shoulders when I told him the food is not authentic.
I could see if the conversation continued he would have tried to argue with me, his attitude and his tone was not very welcoming, argumentative and not there to listen to his customers needs.
1 bite of food for 20 euros. Daylight robbery Very bad food Very bad...

The strangest experience I have ever had at any restaurant in any country. I walked in, said my greeting and I want to order “para llevar” etc. The woman (older lady) just asked me what I want and quite rudely. I said I didn’t know… expecting to be handed a MENU. She kept asking what I want. Didnt bother showing me a menu just kept asking with hostility. I looked at the walls to make sure I wasn’t missing a menu, then I left.
There is no way to misunderstand someone walking into your restaurant and asking for take out. Her petty attitude will cause the place...
