Restaurante Casa Larry — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

I normally never write reviews but this just doesn't sit well with me and I don't recommend this restaurant. We came to have some food had an option to eat a buffet, while serving they indicated that food can be reheated which is strange. During the food it was not what we expected, quality is poor. so we ate little to avoid poisoning. I went to ask when this is prepared, the lady indicated that it was prepared in the morning, and we went for dinner around 8 o'clock in the evening. Indicated that this is poor quality, and that the price is too much for what we got. She doesn't care what we thought of the food and we didn’t want to eat anymore because food was way too old. I want to preface this post by saying I'm born and raised Filipino. I was very excited to find this restaurant as I don't have Filipino restaurants where I live now. We ordered kare-kare, lumpia, pork BBQ, caldereta, pancit palabok, and tocino. I must say, I was very disappointed with the kare-kare. I have no idea if maybe they don't have access to the right ingredients but it was bland. It didn't taste like peanut sauce at all and they don't have bagoong. I highly recommend this place especially for Filipinos visiting the island. Though the serving size of their menu is quite small, the taste will never disappoint you. It's interesting that there are a lot of non-Filipino nationals who eat at this place too. You can check the photos so you can see the prices of their food. So if you're around and miss home cooked...
