Triciclo — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Absolutely mystified as to how this place gets good reviews. Not one of our dishes in a group of four was good. One was cold, another simply tasted bad, and the remaining two were steaks ordered medium, which could not have been more raw without being straight out of its packaging. Completely unimpressed with the food, and the service didn’t make up for it either. We were seated upstairs, waited about 50 minutes to receive our raw food, and weren’t checked on again so couldn’t even bring up the issue for it to be rectified before it was too late (someone only came 20 minutes after everyone else was finished eating). To their credit, when we asked for the inedible steak to be taken off the bill, they did, but there were no further gestures made and I left hungry. Also unhelpful for allergens, there was essentially about two options for someone who is coeliac and will get very ill if they eat gluten, and the waitress told them which dish she “would prefer” they ate, so no choice...

They never answer the phones when u call to book and when u pop in they dont take u as they say u have to book! Even when tables are available! Went there after booking and after being seated we asked to change table and was told no table despite us looking at free tables. We just wanted to sit outside! We had a booking afterall so we got up to leave and the waiter eventually put us outside after a booking of 14 persons cancelled!! They were late and Triciclo had to call them only 2b told they are not coming. They focus more on table amd not the customer. Service was poor or mediocre. Food good. .but i xan see them losing customers over time. I would not go back if i visit the area again. We were able to get a table at Revere despite them fully booked we were offered a table to finish by 10pm which was more than enough time for us. Triciclo was availanle but rather rurn you away at 8pm to wait for a 10pm...

SUPER RUDE WAITRESS! We took a table outside and as I was having back pain I leaned forward in my chair to stretch it. A minute later the tall, blond waitress with a ponytail and piercings came to our table and without greeting or anything she barked at us "do you have a reservation?!!" "No?" "Then you need to leave. We are all booked out for the whole day!" And then she put a "reserved" sign on the table (which wasn't there before)! We then left and took a seat in the restaurant next door.
