Modern, Exciting, Diverse Eating Experience only at Volapie
Taberna del Volapie Restaurant
Taberna Del Volapie is one of many restaurants situated in the Las Rozas area of Madrid, with so many options to choose from this stands out from the crowd, and you will only see this by trying it just once as we did then again, again and again.
From the outside The restaurant dominates a nice corner space with a very good sized terrace to soak up the sun. Bustled within a row of other restaurants in the street, Taberna del Volapie stands out, with a nice modern arrangement of dining options.
From the Inside The restaurant has a nice modern decorative touch with varied seating options inside, with high stools or low dining options to suit most. The bar is very open and we partially love the cheese station, watching a member of staff cutting up the cheese, leaves you mesmorised.
Menu The menu is quite diverse with a fusion of trending foods from the Chef, reasonably priced for the area and nice manageable portion sizes. The best menu for group dining with family and friends with cheese boards, seafood boards and other items to make your mouth water.
The good thing with the menu is “change”, they offer such a varied menu suitable for most tastes and present everything in a beautiful way to make you want to order more.
Prices They are pretty competitive for the area and are in good comparison the dish sizes. I would also add the prices are better in comparison to restaurants within the same street but I am going off menu items and not the typical menu del dia.
Food The food presented has always been consistent with the same loving touch you would expect from most restaurants however they go one step further by adding their own Volapie signature. We have never been disappointed with any of the food presented to us, on the contrary we have always been surprised at the sometimes strange mix of ingredients like the Mango Salmon which was totally yummy, 10/10 for the daring try.
The ingredients are fresh and you can tell when the kitchen staff make the effort with the food, presenting delicious ingredients whilst maintaining a high standard at the same time, something most restaurants are incapable of doing.
We partially love the sharing aspect of Volapie, letting you share everything with friends who can compare individual tastes and opinions, which are generally very good.
Drinks Being a Taberna, Volapie have a large selection of drinks, especially Gin´s like the volatonics which go down really nice. Also offering a large selection of wines, beers and other specialist drinks. The Sangria is particularly good including the Mojaitos. Prices are reasonable as you would expect within the area.
Customer Service Staff are really friendly and you can see they are very professional with a nice attitude towards their customers, but maybe throw in a few more smiles.
Recommendations Fully recommended if you love food and trying different things, Madrid can be very one sided when it comes to the traditional menu del dia but Taberna del Volapie push the boat and give you an extraordinary culinary experience that will leave your taste buds exploding and wanting more from the menu.
We have been coming here now for over 2 years and fully enjoy every moment knowing we can return here from our travels and eat good food. We will be returning every time we come back to Spain for some new menu delights.
Well done to the staff and management for keep up a very high level of food presentation and consistency. 10/10 from Gary Collins, Global blogger. #LetsGuide #fsya...
