A Unicorn of a Restaurant — Where Wonder Woman Might Dine and Kids Are Treated Like Royalty
If you’re looking for a place to celebrate something truly special in Mallorca—whether it’s the final night of your vacation, a milestone moment, or just surviving another day of parenting with your sense of humor intact—Lobster Club in Port de Portalis is a unicorn.
The kind of restaurant that whispers five stars the moment you walk in: a sleek architectural marvel with fine linens, glowing jellyfish-like robotic lights, and a ceiling that belongs in a design museum. The sound system is perfectly tuned. The harbor glimmers. The sea breeze kisses your face. And the bathroom absolutely deserves its own Instagram account.
But what truly sets this place apart? They love kids.
We arrived with our two young children (ages 2 and 5), often described—lovingly—as “live wires.” Within minutes of sitting down, the staff had gifted them high-quality lobster-embroidered bibs, colored pencils, and a sea-animal-themed coloring maze. When our daughter caught the “puppy zoomies” and began sprinting around the dining room, no one flinched. No judgment. Just kindness.
Our son, meanwhile, was on a mission: to transform his coloring sheet into a fully functional aircraft. A kind team member knelt beside him to help with the fold work, and then our son took off—rushing from table to table, as politely as a small boy possibly can, begging for tape like a forlorn puppy. No tape in sight. But just as morale was starting to waver, a resourceful waitress McGyvered a solution using a stapler—hero status confirmed. Paper airplane: launched. Child: beaming. Parents: eternally grateful.
And then—parenting plot twist—our daughter tripped. Before I could even scoop her into my lap, a blue glove filled with ice appeared in front of us, conjured like magic. It was one of those moments where I blinked and thought: “There are superheroes working here.” And honestly? Given the whispers we heard from nearby tables—of Wonder Woman herself recently lounging at the pool, and Ronaldo’s yacht spotted just offshore two days earlier—it wouldn’t surprise me if that were literally true.
The food was next-level. • Crispy calamari that vanished in minutes • Watermelon and anchovy salads that sparkled with flavor • Lobster paella “jugosa” (soupy, silky, and wildly delicious) • The legendary Cinco Jotas jamón (our eyes rolled back) • Olives that made us laugh because how can olives be that good? • And helados and trufas that resolved any lingering sibling negotiations
The team, led with warmth and quiet confidence by Ricardo, worked together like a symphony—flowing around the room with grace and heart. You could feel the joy behind the service. The pride. The thoughtfulness. The unspoken team spirit that makes a place truly hum.
And yes, the pool is technically adults-only (12+), which nearly caused a meltdown. But we quickly informed our kids it was full of invisible sharks that only eat children. (Don’t judge—we were desperate.)
We’re usually more at home among barefoot hippies, techno-optimists, backpack-toting parents, and home-cooked lentil stew. But at Lobster Club, we felt not only welcome—we felt cherished.
And just when we thought the evening had reached its perfect conclusion, a little red surprise arrived at the end. I won’t spoil it here. Just know it was thoughtful, playful, and the final sprinkle of magic on an already extraordinary experience.
Come for the lobster. Stay for the kindness. Leave with full bellies, happy kids, and a feeling like maybe—just maybe—you dined in the company of heroes.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We’ll be dreaming of it...
Read moreUsually i dont want to write bad reviews anymore but its always the bad stuff that bothers you and you want other people to enjoy their life…without the lobster club. Good things first, location is amazing even if toilets are far away. Perfect setting. The menu is short with emphasis on lobster. Prices are high. So you would expect premium service/food/ everything. Waited for the table, then greeted by not so welcoming waitress who told us that food will take shitty long time (it was half empty). For the future please dont tell guest this it instantly turns the mood. Serve drinks. Entertain. Anyways. We were a party of 4 including 1 small child so ordered drinks and food and told them that everything which is ready can come because the kid was hungry. The best thing: the drinks, the barkeeper was amazing. Best pina coladas i had in years. The rest of the order: we ordered the menu zigzag because its the new spot so wanted to try everything. First came the main, the lobster. Then couple of dishes we didn’t ordered. At last the kids chicken wings. The food was the worst i had in years to be honest, i dont want to brag but i cook decent food, if i go somewhere high class i expect better then mc donalds. The lobster was really (cant write in Review )everything, looks, taste, garnish…its an insult to normal people and the animal. The mood was on the bottom as we had to discuss several times why we got food we didn’t order. The rest of the food was bare minimum. So to make it quick i would never set a foot again in this restaurant. I had high hopes because you could have make the next best thing on mallorca with this location but that… To be honest after getting angry with the service they turned around and where nice, they even took the lobster from the bill but its not about the money its about having a nice experience. It starts with a welcoming smile, a seamless organization and good food. Its not that difficult. And if you charge extra money people expect even more. This was ikea food for michelin price. A shame. Attached a photo of the star of the menu the...

After planning our day and, to be fair, part of our trip around coming to The Lobster Club, we left disappointed.
Here’s what happened in a few steps…
We booked online a month in advance, where there was an availability.
3 days before arriving in Palma, we had a phone call stating there was room for food as they had overbooked but we could still have drinks at 9:30.
As we wanted to go, and to be fair, a lovely view especially on the day where there was a full moon, we accepted and changed our plans around to eat somewhere else.
On the day of the reservation, I went to see Penelope who stated that yes she saw the booking for drinks (which she stated were outside by the pool area) and made sure this was happening. Yes was the answer. And I said with it being an occasion, what could she do for my girlfriend as it was a bit of inconvenience (I’m not expecting a full night on the house to be clear!)
We arrived at 9:20, where we had the pleasure of meeting someone who told us that our reservation wasn’t on the list for drinks. Brilliant.
Penelope then arrived again and told us to wait for a minute (5 minutes later) found us a table. The table was inside behind the cashier desk.
I refused to sit there as this was the 2nd agreement broke.
We got told to wait another 2 minutes where we got told there was a space outside, however we had to wait another 5/10 minutes for someone to finish and pay.
Believed it or not, we walked out without even an attempt to make things any better.
This may seem we’re being a bit of a ‘Karen’ however, believe me, it was unbelievable how we...
