Diablito Portals — Restaurant in Calvià

My wife and I went in on a very busy Saturday evening 20/07/19, and saw that there were no available seats. We were advised that the terrace Would be the best place to sit. I took this as a good sign, we were welcomed immediately by the waiter upstairs as nobody else was waiting and advised to take a seat whilst a table became available - We ordered our drinks and asked for a menu - All good up to this point. During our 15 minute wait for our drinks (understandable due to how busy the restaurant was) another couple sat next to us who also asked for a menu, then a family of four and finally a couple of young girls. A further 10 minutes went by and we (and the other couple) had not been given a menu, but the young girls had by their very attentive waiter. Finally we saw a couple of tables become vacant, so we were finally going to be seated... To our (and all other waiting parties) disbelief, the two young girls were ushered to a table personally by the waiter. He then came back inside and offered the 2nd available table to the other two parties who arrived after us - they were as shocked as we were that he had got it so wrong as he’d advised only a few minutes earlier we were next. My wife got his attention at which point, he ignored his previous instruction to all parties and rudely directed us with a pointed finger to the free table. We were amazed that in such a busy and obviously well-thought-of restaurant, that flirting with the waiter would get you pushed to the front. We decided to pay for our drinks and leave, but before, we advised the couple after us we were leaving and they could have our table. They, and the family of four advised us they didn’t want it as they were all paying their drinks bills and leaving. This was the only bad service received during our whole week at the port. The food was okay but when I asked the waiter to split in half the total amount of money to pay with my friend, which we always do, he said: " I cannot do that, better you do it" I believe every phone has installed a calculator, am I right?

At the end I've done it myself because i didn't want to cause him trouble to get him fired or anything, the thing that was really bad is that after waiting 5min. To pay he never went back, I had to stand up and go inside to pay there.

Price and quality compared with other restaurants like in port like Port Adriano, my note is 6/10 food was okay.

The bad part was the service and the attitude. I know people can have bad days and I tried to be good and empathize with the waiter, but hell, that was worse than I expected.

Visited here a few weeks ago on the first morning off a short trip , we arrived and sat over looking that marina which was fantastic ,me and my friend both proceeded to order a FULL English breakfast and a pint of local lager , the breakfast was consisted of some foreign pale looking beans, one sausage which my dog probably would have enjoyed , 2 “organic “ fried eggs a few rashers off the old foreign bacon and some rock hard sour dough style toast , washed down with a small glass off watery orange juice with pips in , never the less the beer was cold but flat , upon picking up the tab of €54 inc a 2 visit service charge , for 2 local beers and 2 full English breakfasts , was without doubt the worst and most expensive restaurant experience of our short visit to...
