I rarely write bad reviews but I do when they are warranted. I’ve eaten at Ritzi a few times before (both walk in and reservation) and the food is honestly okay, nothing special compared to other places on the island. Sub par for the price but yesterday evening my family and I were super surprised by the treatment of the man with salt and pepper hair and blue shirt working the desk on the evening of June 23 around 7pm. I tried thinking maybe he had a bad day, but scanning some of the reviews on google, seems like this is just how some staff members are.
There are many ways to kindly say no we are fully booked and maybe suggest another night for reservation (it’s free to be kind he is in desperate need of a customer retention course) but this man already said no before I could finishing uttering the sentence “we’d like a table for 4”. He cut me off almost 3 times in a span of 1 minute.
I understand if everyone made a reservation and it’s truly fully booked, but I would say half of the tables outside were completely empty. From my previous experiences, they also said it’s fully booked on the phone but still somehow managed to give us a table with a time limit in the end when we passed by and checked.
Horrible treatment of customers who literally live a 5 minute drive away and would have come back regularly and brought guests. He made it seem like it was an inconvenience to speak to us. Mind you he was not busy, he was just talking to another staff member. This is just not how you run a business.
Ritzi, if I was you, I’d replace this person immediately, he’s horrible for your business. I was almost embarrassed for his behavior & quite frankly, considering his age, he should be the experienced one setting an example for other employees who were around him.
Til: If you’re in the area and wanna dine well and get great service go to cappuccino, wellies or tahini next door. Service and staff are kind and honestly the food is way better!
Will never return and will definitely tell friends & family to avoid this place. Not worth risking ruining your day for...
Read moreno comment .... this is the worst service I've ever seen .... firstly, the food is not of the best quality, and secondly ... when we called the administrator and pointed to the assigned position in the account, he just started yelling at us .... do you represent ???? the administrator began to yell at customers for the question about the correctness of the account .... we knew that many wealthy customers came to restaurants in this area, but did they all feel calm about being cheated, cheated or shouted ???? When we asked the waiter the same question, he also started yelling at us ... !!! that he brought us the menu and we had to read it !!! all menu !!! we didn’t order what they brought to us and thought it was a “compliment”, like everywhere else in the world in good restaurants .... but no .... they brought us bread with mayonnaise and counted it in the bill ... and shouted at us for the question "why so" ??? Is it a gypsy restaurant and business ??? or the owner doesn’t care, because the flow of wealthy customers will come anyway ??? the administrator has obvious mental problems, because from the very beginning he didn’t even want to sit at the table, he called the waiter to clean our plates when we didn’t even finish our food ... and afterwards dared to shout at us when we asked to deal with the bill !! !! we wanted to call the police, but because of the little things we did not spoil our evening. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS INSTANCE !! I would like to talk with the owner of this institution about the adequate behavior...
Read moreJust do not go to Ritzi! Don’t waste your time and money! There are many more other way better options nearby! Like Yanina, Yara etc. I don’t get the fuss around this restaurant. Maybe it’s the location .. the only nice thing about it. My husband booked a table to celebrate my birthday, round date. He mentioned it during the reservation and reminded later again, that he would like some kind of a surprise for me like a cake with a candle or anything like that. When we ordered the dessert, nothing came with it. No candles, no congratulations, nothing … What’s more, when we arrived we were told that the next reservation is in 1.45 hour … so we’ll need to keep track of the time.. and I get it. So we rushed to finish our meals. Since I couldn’t finish my main dish, I asked to pack it for take away. The waiter just piled up all the plates and didn’t pack anything… The food.. it’s plain, no flavor, nothing. I would even say it’s bad. And is pre-cooked. It’s not worth the money at all! And how many of reviewers noticed already, the staff is super annoyed and arrogant. As if you owe them something. Just not worth it . Big...
