Dear Asador-Team, honestly spoken the food and the service you provided was not worth a penny. We searched for the best Steakhouse in Malaga. Only eating nice tapas and seafood was not satisfying us. After we found Asador, we were mouthwatering and said let's go. After reservation we went there late evening. The dry aged freezer outside was telling us, that the steaks must be good. But then the bad experience started. The interior of the location is not very comfortable, old and completely used. Without any issues on hygienic basis. It was a clean restaurant. After having ordered the steaks, in my case Rib Eye, we were very excited. The other tables have ordered as well, the meat was shown upfront to them, and they ordered. In our case, no meet show, and the steaks came after an estimated time of 10 minutes, which was quite surprising for a steak which should weigh 400gr. Having grilled a lot of steaks in my own, just the rest time of the grilled steak in aluminum foil is 6-8 minutes. Looking at the other tables, the received nice looking granite style plates with side dishes and sharp knifes. In our case, we received only standard and normal ceramic plates. Second difference. The meat was really embarrassing. Never seen something like that. It was grey, not really sharp grilled, no nice and fency stripes on it, the smell was not nice and the taste as well. After having left more than the half of my steak on the plate the service came and ask how it was. We said, we didn't like, it was not good. No reaction, no excuses, nothing. To avoid further discussions and having afterwards a more stressful time, we just ordered the bill and left the bad experience like it was. Hopefully we had just the Monday morning food, but looking at the reviews, some made the same experience.

We ordered a medium rib steak. The waiter asked us if we want it medium rare and we said no, we want it pink and soft. They brought the meat very raw, just like the blue type of steak. Another waiter noticed and asked us how is it and then took it to cook it some more. They completely overcooked it and it tasted like gas. It was not possible to eat it. This time they took the rest of the meat and brought another type of meat, again completely raw. One waiter came and asked us how is it and noticed the raw meat and took it again. This time I went after him and asked him to not cook it again because it’s pointless. When I asked for the bill, I asked if I can have a discount on the meat, because I didn’t ask for raw meat in the first place. The waiter got very angry and started to shout that I’m a liar and that I didn’t want to pay for the meat. I told him I don’t give a funk about that and I payed the full price. It just really didn’t deserve it. It’s a tourist trap and a wanna be fancy restaurant with horrible service and dirty toilets. My advice is avoid it and go to a real steakhouse if you want good meat.

Zu unserem Essen genossen wir zwei Softdrinks und zwei Gläser hervorragenden Wein, der nach unseren Vorlieben empfohlen wurde, und zum Abschluss ein köstliches Dessert und ein Espresso. Sowohl vor dem Essen als auch währenddessen haben wir uns keine Sorgen über die Kosten gemacht, und als die Rechnung kam, musste ich schmunzeln. Insgesamt nur 105 €! Ich musste die Rechnung tatsächlich zweimal durchlesen, da ich dachte, es müsse etwas fehlen. In der Schweiz hätte ich allein für mein 800g Black Angus Steak mehr als 105 € bezahlt. Auf jeden Fall sind wir absolut zufrieden. Der Service war hervorragend und aufmerksam. Die Bedienung wusste bereits bei der Bestellung, was auf den Tisch gehörte. Das Essen wurde gleichzeitig serviert, und nach einigen Minuten wurde nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung war. Als mein Glas leer war, wurde sofort gefragt, ob ich noch etwas wünsche. Für mich machen solche Details einen ausgezeichneten Service aus. Dieses Restaurant ist definitiv empfehlenswert, und wir werden in den nächsten Tagen auf jeden Fall noch einmal vorbeischauen. ———————————————— Mi novia y yo vivimos en Suiza y estamos visitando Málaga por primera vez. Como hablo español con fluidez, pregunté a los lugareños por recomendaciones de buenos restaurantes de carne, y la mayoría nos recomendó este restaurante. Creo que las imágenes hablan por sí solas. Mi novia pidió el "Entrecote de vaca selección de la casa (250g)", mientras que yo pedí el "Chuleta de Black Angus Nebraska (EE. UU.) (800g)". Las imágenes muestran lo generosas que eran las porciones. En Suiza, honestamente, habríamos tenido que pedir al menos 350g y 1kg para obtener porciones tan grandes. Para acompañar nuestra comida, disfrutamos de dos refrescos y dos copas de excelente vino recomendado según nuestros gustos, y para terminar, un delicioso postre y un espresso. Tanto antes como durante la comida, no nos preocupamos por el costo, y cuando llegó la cuenta, no pude evitar sonreír. ¡Solo 105 € en total! Tuve que leer la factura dos veces porque pensé que algo faltaba. En Suiza, solo por mi filete de Black Angus de 800g habría pagado más de 105 €. En cualquier caso, estamos completamente satisfechos. El servicio fue excelente y atento. El personal sabía desde el principio qué debía estar en nuestra mesa. La comida se sirvió al mismo tiempo y, después de unos minutos, preguntaron si todo estaba bien. Cuando mi copa estaba vacía, preguntaron de inmediato si deseaba algo más. Para mí, estos detalles son lo que define un servicio excelente. Este restaurante es definitivamente recomendable, y sin duda volveremos en los próximos días.

Three of us ate here. We'd spotted the fridge full of beef cuts in the window on a previous visit to Malaga and made a note of it. We had 2 steaks and a pork shoulder dish. The steaks were brilliant but beware that their 'medium' still has running blood when you cut into it. You are going to need to ask for 'medium to well' at least to get pink meat with no blood here. I had the Black angus entrecote (400g) and my partner had Galician sirloin (250g). The sirloin was in reality as big if not bigger than my entrecote so I think the weight is guessed. Both were delicious though and we shared them so we each got some of both cuts. Fantastically tender. The pork shoulder however wasn't so good. A very thin cut and very overdone making it tough. The let down here is the service. Very short and to the point, little in the way of smiles or friendliness. This really needs to be improved and this restaurant would be a gem. Compared to the UK, the pricing here is very good you get a lot more for your money and better quality. I recommend going here, but don't expect 4 star service with a smile! (Oh, and opt for french fries or jacket potato because my partner chose veg with hers. She got 2 rounds of grilled courgette & 2 small pieces of grilled red pepper on one corner of the plate and a small pile of raw shredded red cabbage on...
