Yet another wonderful experience in Malaga. Very good Italian food and a very clean establishment with very friendly staff. We struck up conversations with 2 adjacent couples which may have driven others nuts. I am, after all, your typical ugly American who does not fully appreciate how loud I talk and how far my voice carries. Again, forgive me por favor. Honestly the staff here made us feel very welcome and the food was top notch. Additionally as an Architect I like to report that the restrooms were immaculatly clean, well at least the men's restroom, my only true experience. We split a pizza and I had the VERY BEST Sangria I've had in Spain this far. It's reported to be " homemade" and I might just believe it. We stumbled upon the place purely by a wonderful accident and I would be sure to return. Hopefully my photos have been posted without issue and you may appreciate some of the nuances of our experiences. UPDATE: Here in Malaga for a full week and now I have visited Nonna's twice and had a delightful visit with Gustavo, a very gracious host and I suspect manager if not owner/manager. The evening of Noche De Blanco when museums are free and we were treated to live music outside the Museo Carmen Thyssen Malaga! A wonderful finish and completion of our evening. Sometimes you can get really...
Read moreVery bad experience. In the beginning everything went very well and the staff was nice. Then we ordered our food and my boyfriends food was good, my pasta was undercooked. When I told the waiter about this he said he would bring me a new plate. 5 Minutes later I get my new plate with again undercooked pasta. When I ask the waiter why it’s hard again he says its a different type of pasta that’s supposed to be hard to chew. I cut my penne open in half and see that the inside is completely raw. When I tell the waiter this he rolls his eyes at me and looks irritated. Then he took my plate away and said I won’t have to pay for my meal. Then he went talking with the cook and other waiters and they kept staring at us and talking about us. Very rude behavior and very weird that an Italian restaurant doesn’t know how to cook pasta al dente. I’m very disappointed with this restaurant. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. I went to eat here april 7th around 21h30, i got a very bad stomachache...
Read moreOur group wanted some pasta and pizza, so we found this place. It's a bit off the beaten path, as this area is actually quite quiet as it's not next to the bustle of the center.
The waiters were quite efficient and they understood English well. We had no problems with them.
For drinks we for some of the tiento verano amd Aperol Sprits. The wine was delicious, veey refreshing, we prefered the classic over the one with lemon. The Sprits was a big weak, didn't feel there was much alcohol in it.
The food was delicious, the pastas and pizzas were made perfectly. Some of the best gnocchi I've had, lovely creamy sauce and delicious sausages (Bosciolla pasta). The Carbonara also seemed pretty authentic too. The pizza was nice, not too thick and with a good crust. The ingredients on them were delicious (Diavola and Bosciolla).
The Tiramisu was fine, on the sweeter side.
Good location for Italian food with good service. Also a little hidden, as it's not where all the...
