Worst restaurant ever! I've organized a wine and cheese tasting there to get my friends to get to discover French culture... What a mistake! They'd offered a "menu" for 25€/head including 4 glasses of wine and 4 different kinds of cheese, I had asked for free bread and water included and that people should not be hungry at the end, because 25€ is a lot especially in Spain, and they said ok. On the said night we arrived at the restaurant and paid the 25€ upfront because I wanted to guarantee they had full payment. So... we indeed had 4 glasses of wine but the cheese... They gave us only 3 ridiculous platters of cheese out of which you could only feed 2 people!! For the 12 of us!! And no water. So we asked for water. Then came 3 50cl bottles of water. We were still hungry so asked for another cheese platter and then we thought that finally we would get some value for our money. Then the waiter offered more food (he said "foie") and we were like "oh great! Free stuff!! Yeah bring it on" so we had our foie which actually was disgusting pâté de foie covered with weird stuff like chocolate!!! Oh my god this is not French!! But we thought we were getting it for free so what the hell. And then the waiter came back offering deserts or cocktails and then we thought this was the most amazing restaurant ever offering us so many things when we thought it was expensive to start with!! How mistaken were we.. Some of us started to leave and then the waiter arrived saying that we still had the bill to pay for. So I asked what bill because we'd already paid and he brought a 150€ bill!!! For all extras we thought were free!! Like for instance : 26€ for a plate of 4 very small pieces of what they called foie gras and which was actually pâté de foie. They even charged us for water. The food is delicious, and a breath of fresh air after all the generic ham, patatas and cheese you get elsewhere. Candlelit tables on the terrace in stead of the usual harsh white light. Well done Pimientos de Padrón, croqettas de setas that where full of very tasty mushrooms, a great spinach quiche and eggplant albóndigas ("meatballs") with tasty sauce. Yes, all vegetarian, although we weren't espcially going for that. The service was fast, good and very cheerful. In an nutshell: great food, great service, done with dedication. Para mi fue una gratísima noticia una nueva promoción en MADAMME SUZANNE. Donde resalta la calidad y el buen gusto.
Donde Laura y Gaby te tratarán con exquisita amabilidad y profesionalidad. Te expondrán con franqueza las innumerables posibilidades que tienes, resaltando lo más destacable de cada plato. Déjate aconsejar, pues estás en las mejores manos, y de seguro encontrarás la mejor opción.
En Madamme Suzanne, no solo se come, se disfruta de la cordialidad de la buena gente.
Pero también se come en Madamme Suzanne, y de qué manera. No dejes de degustar sus croquetas, en ellas se aprecia un toque a tradición casera, a sabor y a autenticidad. A unos les gusta más las de puchero, a otros les pone las de jamón, a mí me gustan las dos.
Jugosos y sabrosos son los huevos rotos al estilo Madamme Suzanne. Los de este año no llevan jamón ni foie, ni falta que les hace. Con los huevos hechos a baja temperatura, el sabor, la textura y la cremosidad, hace que sobre todo lo demás. La base es la base, huevos rotos y ya está, pero qué huevos.
Y qué me contáis de la pata de pulpo, sobre lecho de papas. Rico, rico, tierno y jugoso. Y pensar que el pulpo es un ser pensante... Pobre pulpo.
Bueno, y la tarta de queso a los postres, posiblemente, la mejor tarta de queso de Málaga. Sin empalagar, es muy cremosa y sabrosa. Es la guinda a una gran comida.
Pero tú encontrarás la tuya, aunque elijas otros platos... Lo que si te aconsejo es que pruebes... Creo que como yo repetirás.
