THE WORST SERVICE WE HAVE HAD IN MALAGA! Firstly we did come during a busy time on Saturday night however the restaurant was not completely full with plenty of tables still free. The waiters don’t speak English at all! It’s difficult to communicate if you don’t speak Spanish. The menus are also ONLY in Spanish. We placed our orders after waiting around 15-20mins for the waiter to attend us. Then we got one starter, one main and didn’t get the remaining two fish main dishes. We then after around HOUR WAIT got our second main, and again not the third main. Like everything was not even in order. Because we wanted to have the mains to share. So we finished the second main and yet no sign of our last main. THIS IS ALMOST OVER HOUR 20mins after placing our orders. We decided we don’t want to wait no more and told the waiter who replied “I DONT KNOW” frantically as he was running around and I assume was drunk because he just didn’t understand our complaint. Then when I said I just want to pay and leave he said ok and then the waiting continued. We literally had to get up and almost walk away for a waiter to attend to us and we can pay. Also they EXTRA charged us for I don’t even know what I assume the bread which they gave it like it was complimentary without asking us and they charged us for! Or I don’t know it’s a secret extra charge. AVOID THIS PLACE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and food was ok at best!

Read moreThe pulpo a la gallega was delicious - perhaps a little heavy handed on the salt but the pulpo itself was succulent.
We then had the fritura malagueña which was tasty overall but the pulpo this time was a little bit tough and chewy. We felt perhaps the different types of fish had all been fried together so maybe the pulpo ended up being a bit overcooked?
The portion was very big for two people so we had to leave some. We were glad that we ordered a salad to accompany this as it would have been perhaps a bit heavy with no sauce or anything with it. The salad was huge too! I wasn't keen on the prawns (not as flavoursome /a bit dry) and some of the salad leaves looked a bit sad, but I loved the artichokes, tomatoes, carrot and avocado. They also brought over vinegar and oil to dress it to our liking which was nice.
The service was ok. Some of the waiters were more focused on chatting amongst themselves rather than being attentive to customers. When asked, one of them couldn't actually tell me everything that was in the fritura malagueña. There were snippets of warmth from them but overall it felt a bit lacking.
The sangria was ok.
The price was maybe a bit high, but for the portions we had it was...
Read moreThis is by far the worst experience I have had in a restaurant anywhere. My wife and I were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and decided to go here as we were staying close by. The waiter was rude arrogant and seemed more interested in trying to'impress'his colleagues than tend to us. My Spanish is poor but my wife speaks fluently and he was equally as condescending in both languages. The food was at best bland but that was not reflected in the price. During the course of the meal the ever increasing wind eventually collapsed the terrace fencing onto our table taking the food (some would say a blessing)and drinks with it. After initial concern by the manager it happened again upon which we asked for the bill. After a 20 minute wait we reasked for the bill. Which arrived with the manager and the 20% discount which he thought would appease us. After paying the bill I told him what an awful experience it had been to which he replied" we can not do anything about the wind". Maybe not but you could have some stronger wind proof terrace fencing or offered to relocate us or you could train your staff better and not employ obnoxious one's. There are hundreds of good fish restaurants in Malaga...
