The ambience in Restaurant Promesa is really unique, so comfortable & relaxing helped along by the very tasteful decor. From the moment we entered the staff were so welcoming, attentive & more than helpful, nothing was too much trouble, with great attention to detail being their priority. Individually & as a team they are a credit to their profession. Several extensive menus are available & it's really popular, which is not surprising, so booking is strongly recommended. It's excellently located, close to the marina, city park & the coast road, so easy to access. Everything from start to finish was perfect & we cannot fault anything. We had the pleasure of dining at Promessa, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. We opted for the 7-course tasting menu with wine pairings, and every aspect of the evening exceeded our expectations.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Antonio, whose attentiveness and genuine care truly elevated our experience. A heartfelt thank you to him — and to the entire Promessa team — for their extraordinary hospitality. The service throughout the evening was flawless: professional, friendly, and perfectly timed.

Each dish was a delight — beautifully presented, creatively composed, and bursting with flavor. You could sense the passion and precision behind every plate. The wine pairings were equally impressive, enhancing each course and introducing us to some wonderful discoveries we might not have encountered otherwise. The sommelier's choices were spot-on, bringing a new depth to the tasting menu.

It’s rare to find a restaurant that balances such culinary excellence with such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Promessa absolutely delivers on that promise. We left with full hearts and every intention of coming back soon.

A very disappointing experience. Service very slow due to lack of waiting staff and never came to table to ask if everything was OK. Nice touch to provide house cocktail free but brought bread and butter which we didn’t ask for and charged for it. For starter we ordered the ensalada de atun & gambas and were given Ensalada Rusa. When I queried this with the waiter he said it was the ensalada de atun & gambas but there was no atun or gambas just a Russian Salad!. On the bill it had Russian Salad and when I queried it again I was told the Russian salad was the same as the atun & gambas salad! The fillet steak was small and the pepper sauce was not good. One small cabinero with fried egg and potatoes for €40 is extortionate. There are many excellent restaurants in Malaga so I would recommend giving this overpriced restaurant, where they believe Ensalada Rusa and Ensalada de atun & gambas are the same...
