Honestly such a disappointment. I will try to be fair here and super detailed: when we arrive everything was great, we receive a great wine recommendation and ordered the sushi combo with sashimi, nigiris and rolls. My friend asked if it was possible to just make sure they didn’t make pieces with tuna, since she can’t eat it and they asked the kitchen, considering normally the combos are freestyle from the chef, but the waiter confirm they could make that work, even though we had to mention that ourselves when normally all restaurants ask about food allergies/ dietary. When the sushi arrived, they had switched our orders, my friends plate was only with tuna and she felt so uncomfortable. I informed the waiter, and he became really nervous and tried to gaslight us making us feel like it was our fault to made that request when normally the combos are not personalized, when it was him in the first place that confirm us that could be done for us. Then, they came back with the right order but such a disappointment, the sushi was so basic, all of the rolls were exactly the same and I gave directly feedback to him saying I think, as a person who loves sushi and visited so many different sushi restaurants, that showed 0 creativity from the chef in presenting us the signature pieces and different flavors, besides the sashimi was cut super thick and the the rolls were soft not with the right preparation. What truly upset us was the fact my friend heard the waiters during the service making comments judging us literally next to us, which was very less profissional. He offered a little more of wine as a compensation, which was appreciated it but not good enough to make up for this night, we will not coming back and not recommending to anyone who truly...
Read moreSTAFF - Very friendly and accommodating, always checking in "How's the food?" and "would you like new plates for your next dish?"
FOOD - have you ever seen someone taste food on the TV and they're gone crazy and you think to yourself it can't be that good, it's just food. Well... Today I was one of those TV people, the food here is so good with even the smallest bite you get so much flavour.
PRICE - Who cares! With food this good you're not going to thinking about how much have I spent, but if you'd really like to know, I didn't find it expensive.
ATTIRE - I wore a shirt and shorts, she wore a playsuit and converses, looking around I saw men wearing: nice plain tee's with short pants and the women were in loose fitted plain dresses
ATMOSPHERE - Super relaxed, we sat outside and had a great time. The seats aren't far away from the road. With only a few cars going by and next to no people it was very quiet but this could have all been different if it was a Friday or Saturday night.
PROS - Free olives. No tip added to the bill and a Large Glass of Tinto was only €1.90 ( everywhere else its €2.50+ )
CONS - She found some plastic in her desert, and they took it off the bill, also it started to get loud( traffic and people going pass.) as we...
Read moreI bumped into this place on a Sunday night as a (bit worn down) solo traveler and wow. The food was amazing and the service even better. I even got two glasses of wine on the house.
The nigiri are very original, but the fusion tastes work so well and I loved every single bite. The tuna sashimi was great. The cheesecake (with blue cheese!) was one of the most interesting and tasty things I’ve eaten in a while. Definitely try it if you get the chance.
To top things off the waitress gave me a list with recommendations for cocktail bars nearby — complete with a description for every bar. I went to her first recommendation (Pharmacy Speakeasy) and I had a blast.
The only thing that could be improved is the toilet and decor. Though it didn’t bother me.
Prices and portions are very fair for the quality. Total...
