We came to this place on a quite middle week evening for some food, tapas and cocktails. We waited a good half and hour before being seated and straight after other customer we got seated without even clearing and cleaning thoroughly our table. We were given menus and left on our own for a 25 minute and then what seemed to be the head waitress came to us with an unspeakable behaviour and stress took our orders. We ordered quite a bit of cocktails and some pizzas alongside some tapas for the drinks. We got served our drinks almost straight away which seemed wonderful. An eternity later we were served our food and we were a bit confused on how to even dig in since no plates or cutlery was provided to us. We asked at least 4 people for napkins and cutlery and no one seemed to take care of our table. I get it was fairly busy but we felt like an extra table near the kitchen entrance and overall just the their way. Then I got up and asked the kitchen that with a smile and an apologetic look gave me some napkins. The cutlery never arrived. I then asked for a bottle of water and ice and even the I had to wait 20 minutes which made impossible to eat my food and enjoy it. Our server seemed just jumping all over the restaurant and take orders and forget about us at all. I was absolutely left speechless. Even if there was what it looked like 8 waitress and commis we never where I’m knowledge throughout our stay. The cherry on top was the disgusting service from the lady pictured at the bottom that kept talking about us badly thinking we don’t understand the language. Absolutely outrageous. —-0.1/10 to be generous. Save your...
Read moreExperienced a lack of regard for customer service as they mislead us when it came to paying the bill.
We came as a group of 15 people who met that night. Most bars we were asking to pay for our drinks individually at the time we ordered and they accepted or we would go elsewhere if they could not as we were aware that paying for rounds was common in Malaga. Here we all ordered separately and they said we could pay at the end but when it came time to get the bill they demanded that one person paid for the whole bill and they would not accept splitting. We offered to all pay equal amounts or even split the bill between less people but they refused, saying it was because of their “system”. Even if that were true they went about this in a rude and hostile way treating us like we had no intentions of paying which was not the case. After 20 minutes of back and forth one of us paid for the group and they were very rude even as we gave in to their demands. What i fail to understand about this is if it is their policy they should make that clear when you order as multiple people at our table asked to pay for their own before making their order and the staff mentioned nothing. All they care about is making their life easier and have no regard for customer service or satisfaction. Will not...
Read moreQuite a cool bar, located next to one of the main streets of Malaga. Usually very crowded but, it's not that hard to find a free table for two.
Except for the drinks, I've tried over there PANE ALL'AGLIO and LASAGNA DI CARNE. I must say that little pizza had more garlic than cheese. To be honest you could smell the garlic from one kilometre. It was tasty... but I think that there was way too much garlic.
The next dish was Lasagna. Again it was good, but everything was swimming in tomato sauce under a lot of yellow cheese.
The drinks were fine, can't complain about them, but my partner said that Mojito was too strong.
What is worth mentioning is that portions are really big. So probably if you are not very hungry just one dish to split will be enough for both of you. Also staff is very friendly and they speak good English :-)
After all, everything was quite tasty, but a bit pricy in my opinion. If you are looking for something to eat, and you can find a table in Casa Lola which is next door I suggest going over there. Prices are lower, food is better and the place is...
