THIS PLACE IS DELICIOUS.
So we were eating in this street two days ago and we noticed that this restaurant was very crowded: all tables were full and people were lining in the street to patiently wait for a place. We were very surprised, and we wondered how good it must be to have people actually LINE UP AND WAIT. We obviously decided to give it a try, what we did this evening.
The location of the restaurant is great : it's in the city center of Malaga, in the kind of street in which you always end when you wander aimlessly in search of a place to eat.
When we first saw it, we thought it had nothing special. We patiently lined up and waited approximately 20min to get a table. In the inside, the decoration is centered around football. You can see the cooks and the oven in which the pizza are prepared, it's really nice. The place is very noisy, but since it's full, it's normal. The waiters are very well organized to regulate so efficiently a constant flow of customers (we came out around 23H and there were still people waiting.)
Let's talk about the main subject : the food. All heavens, the pizza I ate was astonishingly good. I'm not exaggerating, everything was just how I like it. The pizza felt very authentic and tasted delicious. There's a lot of choice on the menu, you're sure to find something that suits your tastes.
My girlfriend ate a gratin de pasta, and I had to help her, because the portions are just so generous. It was also excellent by the way.
But what's even more exciting is the price : for such delicious food, we paid nothing. 26,30€ for two, including drinks and coffee.
I saw a lot of comments saying it's the best pizzeria in town. Trust me, they are right ! Try...
Read moreHORRENDOUS experience! One of the WORST dining experiences ever. I waited for awhile to try this restaurant and heard it was the best pizza in Malaga. COMPLETELY FALSE! Our waiter was not interested in serving our table, he went for a walk, came back, twiddled his fingers, inattentive with a sour attitude. Finally placed our orders and the pizza came out BURNT. Inedible, each bite was charred and unenjoyable. We told our waiter, who went and got another waiter, who was very kind and took our pizza away. Then, a man who appeared to be the manager, came outside and started shouting at my friend and I about how the pizza was traditional pizza, Naples style. They brought the burnt pizzas back out and kept shouting, no masks on as they stood over our table, scaring other customers away. They grabbed at the pizzas, lifting them turning them over with their bare hands, insisting that they were fine, trying to force us to accept the burned pizzas that they had now breathed and touched over. The pizzas were charred on the crust and the bottom. My fingers were blackened from the burnt crust. The interaction with the manager and our waiter continued as some sort of debate. They brought us new pizzas but they didn’t come and ask if we needed anything else. No additional drinks, not to check if our food was satisfactory, nothing. STAY AWAY from this restaurant. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND BURNT PIZZA. As we left, we could see other people had pulled large burned pieces from their pizzas. You pay 10.50 for a burned meal. Take your money and go elsewhere. HOSTILE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I will NEVER eat here again. Such an...
Read moreCame here following a recommendation when searching for pizza restaurants in Málaga. Whilst the food was faultless, the service fell short of the mark. We were asked for a drinks order only a minute or two after sitting down, quicker than we could have possibly looked at any menu, and then only a minute or two after ordering our drinks were asked for our food order!
After we had managed to look through the menu and decide on what we wanted, some croquettes to share between two to begin, then a pizza for myself and a pasta dish for my girlfriend, the waiter quickly returned.
My girlfriends pasta arrived very promptly, maybe 5 minutes. It wasn't until she had finished eating her meal, and a waitress came to take her plate though, that they realised mine still hadn't turned up. They did immediately apologise and blame it on a communication issue (Not sure whether that was the language barrier between us and the staff, or amongst the staff). The pizza arrived very quickly after that and was delicious. One of the best I've eaten outside of Italy.
I was offered a free desert by way of apology, but was full at that point so declined. It would gave been nice to get a discount on the main though.
I think it was an honest mistake, and as mentioned the food was very good, so I'd recommend it and give it another go when I am...
